apparently Kodak is now selling Ektar reversal instead of Kodachrome as a film stock, but from looking into it most are on neg now (given that almost everything goes through digital post now this doesn't surprise me, neg scans far better than slide generally (and light years better than kodachrome)

I wish we'd get the cinema stocks. They are even finer grained than what we get with Ektar and the new Portra 400 and seem to have more speed too.

These guys have some cinema film that they roll and shoot in their cameras:
Twin Lens Life ~ Fine Art Film Photography ~Los Angeles Southern California: In The Bleak Midwinter - New Kodak Portra400 vs Vision3 500T 35mm
Twin Lens Life ~ Fine Art Film Photography ~Los Angeles Southern California: The night is darkest just before the dawn - 220 Fuji 400H (RIP) vs. 35mm Kodak 500T
Twin Lens Life ~ Fine Art Film Photography ~Los Angeles Southern California: Film's future is far brighter than imagined - high ISO 500T vs. 800Z

Holy crap that 500t is unbelievable. they need to release this for film, it's the k5 of film stock
the Portra is very nice as well. And the 800Z is pretty amazing as well

thanks for the links

I know there have been a couple of guys re-spooling various films, maybe someone will do these (The one i should have ordered and didn't was Aerial Infrared stock, sadly gone now)

very nice Nesster, once again you make me want to try Fomapan (despite all the curling criticisms I've heard)

Yesterday(01-04), little bit of everything was flying around.
starting to prefer (portra) 400vc to 160(nc or vc) for speed primarily, just dont
see that big of difference under 8x loupe when I compare structure of grain.
With these swans, little 'extra' contrast that 400vc seems to offer, especially
with snow on the ground is a desirable thing. Any good examples of new (P)400 emulsion to have a look at?

Portra 160nc LX, A400/5.6
1- The "flaps down quints"
2- This time year, that thing runs on "shivers"
3- My bad, as focus goes, B-25 based here is olive drab, thats visitor from somewhere.
wondering if its B-25 or old Lockeed liason type(cant remember designation)

Bill, Lockheed Hudson perhaps? Lockheed Hudson - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Looking at the shape of the wing, I would be inclined to think Hudson.
Either way, it's a great historical aircraft. Nice spotting!

Yeah, I imagine it would be a fairly rare sighting even in the US.
The Hudson was used by the RAAF during WWII quite extensively I believe. But I think mostly in the earlier years when we didn't have much else. Apparently there is one in flying condition over in NSW at Temora Aviation Museum, a place I need to visit sometime.

Rather nice doggie portrait Colton.
Would I be correct in thinking that "Java" is often used as a slang word for coffee in the US?

Thanks Jason,

You are correct about "Java" often being used for coffee.
Her coat is coffee colored, hence the name.
