Well guys....I finally got back the cheap CVS film I ran through my minolta camera. They came out much better than I was expecting considering this was my first ever try with film. Will post them later

edit: Here's my first ever shot with a film camera:

Taken with a minolta Maxxum 7000 with if I remember correctly their 50mm F/1.7 maxxum
Thanks Nesster! I do believe it will be... now what film to try next? I can't wait to shoot film with my pentax glass next (K 50mm F/1.2 im looking at you!) Here's another:

Indeed! Give him a dSLR and we get great bug photos. Give him a film camera and we get pretty girls!

Thanks! Photography is really something I love doing, so venturing into other realms of it is a real joy. I've got a couple of friends who are also 16 trying out film that are willing to go out as a group in the future so I am looking forward to that.

Damn good job already, Tanner. Wish my first ever roll of film turned out so nice
I certainly hope we do see some more (a lot more?) film shooting from you
cheers!

Thanks Goddo. I hope I can shoot more film but I know it wont be a lot more. Its to expensive for someone like me with no job.

Steve
I've got to diversify!

edit: I don't know if I posted this yet, but this was the setup used:

Minolta Maxxum 7000, Minolta maxxum 70-210mm F/4 "beercan," Minolta maxxum 50mm F/1.7, and Minolta maxxum 28-85mm. This was all given to me for free by my parents friends who heard I was into photography and enjoyed using older stuff.

I especially like the balls... Tri-X in D-76 is the classic. How do you find the film physically, I've had big trouble with the curl and dust-magnetism.
Thanks!
The film does seem to have a very slight curl, but I store it flat once cut into strips, and I don't really have any issues - certainly nothing like I have with the Shanghai GP3 120 film I have been using!

That's why i loved Velvia, even with an old tech scan it is nice (much nicer on a light table or projected though)
