I think the reverse actually tends to be more true.
Nice shot, Javier.

From my first roll of home developed 35mm film. Shot with a 1958 Balda Baldessa 1B rangefinder:

live at Rexall Place Edmonton 2009. Tri-X @ 1600, shot with the lowly SMC-M 135 f/3.5. Wish I had been seated a bit closer. I could crop, but somehow I have to leave it 'as is'.

What a great shot. I see what you mean about the crop. I scrolled up and down to see what seems to work for me and it is a tough call. I would like to hear others opinions on this as well. My first thought was to crop, but I don't know. Well done!

This one is really funny !
And that's partially true, an intelligent dog will tend to have it's own look !

Some shots from my first batch of home processed C-41 color film:

Guesstimation: Shot on expired HEMA film with a delapidated Kodak Retinette 1A with guesstimation (zone) focusing and guesstimation (no) light metering.

Crappy Kodak Color Plus 200, lots of grain and strange colors but I like the results:

Pretty cool stuff, Agnostic!

So compared to B&W processing how did you find the C-41 experience? I'm feeling the tug to run some color film thru my cameras but now that I've started processing my own B&W I really don't want to send film off ever again.

I agree and am also curious about the processing.

Processing C41 is easy. I got a two bath Amaloco C41 kit for 10 Euros, does six 35mm films max. Package contains developer and blix (bleach/fix). Process: develop at 36-38C for 3:15 minutes, blix at 36-38C for 3 minutes, wash with water, finished.

Guesstimation focussing and light metering on a beat up Kodak Retinette 1A with expired film :

I'm guessing getting the temps right and keeping them constant is the biggest headache

Just finished the first roll of film on my newly bought ME Super SE. Seems the camera works fine w/ accurate metering and spot on focus Here are some sample photos from the testing roll:

Frank, those are super colors, especially the yellows & oranges. What's the film?
