Have to try some Colton, looks more like a 200 on this end.

Been buddies with this goshawk for about a month,on almost daily basis take a walk
with my dog along a levee here in evening to get a handle on numbers of some other
birds for census, this thing joins in and sort of follows along, looking for tastey tidbits we
disturb.Will come up to within 30 meters. ZX-L & K200/2.5 + AF1.7x on kodak gold 200

Would really like to throw in some of Colton's provia 400 in Z body or LX
with M* and see what happens.
Thanks Bill.
I am really liking Provia 400F. Paired with the 43 Ltd, it's a lot finer grained and sharper than I would expect from a 400 iso film.
You should definitely try some for birding.
It is great to see some birding being done on film. One of these days I need to take out the MZ-L and FA 100-300 with some 400F and try for some birds.

From the first test roll through the Canon P...the only keeper (Well, maybe a few others are OK...)

Steve, that's a lovely photo - creamy tones and quite sharp. What's your impression of the Jupiter-12? I just got a Fed and was thinking of springing for a wider lens.

Here's a couple of shots from my $2.00 Minolta AF101R plastic P&S. This is Kirkland brand 200 iso color film that someone gave me. I have no idea how old the film was but I think it was having sensitivity issues, most of the roll came out way under exposed. I think the camera has a fixed exposure of 1/125s and f/5.6, on a sunny day I would expect better exposure but I don't really know.

I have two J-12s. I bought this one from Jussi (Nesster), but have not been out with it much due to lack of daylight. It seems to do pretty well, though I will know better when I get the second roll of film (Ferrania 100) processed. My other J-12 is in Contax/Kiev mount and produces excellent photos. My only complaint so far is that I have to be very careful of the bulbous rear element. You have to remember to always set the lens down nose first!

This one (previously posted here) was taken with the Kiev unit:

Here's "cool". Dry, bright, windy, -20.

MX, 50mm/f2 w/polarizing filter, kodak 200 gold, nominally 1/250 -- f16.

the exposure seems strangely off; the metering might be off because of the cold.

Same camera, MX, f3.5/35~105 zoom, fuji 400, on a warm day in the luminous semi-cloudy light, can't remember exposure details:

Which shot asa, polarizer looks to be huge difference on gold especially on reflected
light from structures/glass.maybe 1/3rd stop under at most, looks good to me.
Just finished a roll(200 gold),see the need to 'hang' mine on lens,as your shot shows.
longish shadows suggest morning/evening,gals face inside hood seems to hint
at red(maybe wind chill)...was in morning?
Do know from experience with my "M","P" bodies, and LX, alkaline and mercury buttons
in cold any length of time degrade in performance.

Wind chill, uh-huh. She's facing the wind -- 20 km/h at -20C! About 3 in the afternoon... Thanks!

So pretty little girl.
They seem to be so happy as well as a photographer.
I'm also happy to see your photo.
Thank you. ^^

Great idea - gives me an excuse to show pics from the mid 80s, with ASA400 film I've long forgotten, the Oly OM2s and the Tamron 35-80 SP... Some of the best pictures I've ever taken were from that time.

Most of these are scans of prints...

Found film, in a ME Super w/M50/17, it had been bulk loaded and marked 'TP' - the camera set to ASA25, so I assumed this was Kodak Technical Pan. It turned out to be Tmax 100. Whoever loaded the cartridge crammed something like 46 exposures - I stopped at 36...
