Steve, that's a really good series --- I'm glad that j-12 is with you now as you do much better with it than I did.

Steve that is a great series. My favorite is the Anarchist store. I actually really enjoy reading that madness

Thanks! The J-12 is a great asset, particularly on the FED-2. As for the quality of photos...it was one of your shots that set me on the path to purchase. 'Nuff said

The Anarchist Book Store is quite interesting indeed! It is located in the Mississippi District of North Portland. The area is a formerly rundown neighborhood that is currently characterized by a rather intense quirky gentrification. The bookstore is a remnant of blight on an otherwise upbeat street. I think they like it that way. I don't have the nerve to go inside. I figure I would be about as welcome there as in the female-centric erotic goods shop just down the street (She Bop).

I think you would like the Mississippi District. It is the personification of the city from the Portlandia TV show. It is not unusual to see people "in costume" as their regular street wear and there are lots of unusual bicycles (double decker) and such. Sort of like Venice Beach North except without the tourist glitz and street performers. As I mentioned above, the neighborhood had been in serious decline until just a couple of years ago. What more would you expect from a place where there is actually a street named "Failing"

First test shots taken with my "new" ESII (chrome) and an SMC Takumar 55mm 2 (surprisingly good lens, I had never used ..). My SMC Takumar 50mm 1.4 is currently sunbathing in a homemade UV treatment center.

The ESII is a great camera and I am very satisfied with my first results. Results can probably only get better when my SMC Takumar 50mm 1.4 is recovering from her UV treatment and some better film.

Spring this year just won't come.

I think everyone's mood is reduced to monochrome.

please excuse the Nikon equipment... Daughter and I tried Neopan 400 at 800, but I developed the roll in D-76 1:1 with a second roll that wasn't pushed... went with a time about 1/2 way between (10 3/4 min @20C) and all came out well. I'm starting to get the hang of neopan, what a nice film!

I have a couple of rolls of Neopan 400 loaded, but have yet to finish the rolls. I have been shooting them at EI 800 and processing in FG-7 1+15. If I get results similar to yours, I will be thrilled!
