I was going to ask where this was since you live locally and i don't recognize the building (or the other one for that matter)

I may be local but the building is not.
It is insude the older part of Chelsea Market in New York (9th avenue and 16th street) for those wanting to visit.
Shots are about 2-3 weeks apart, on 2 separate visits, one using my K7 the other using my PZ-1 and 3200ISO Illford Delta film. I like the tonality of the high contrast film shot, the digital conversion is from a JPEG cropped down to get the same approximate field of view. this may account for some of the sharpness, but the impression I have is that while film grain (sometimes equated to noise on digital) is much worse, there is an apparent sharpness with the film that digital loses, although I am sure this is not quite fair. Just a quick play with curves on the greyscale image can make it appear to have more depth like the film shot.
