From my first roll with a FED 3 rangefinder (which appears to have a shutter problem at it's highest speed, 1/500th because it has strong vignetting on the left of some shots.) Fomapan 400 in Diafine.

Hey, nice to see another Fed 3 here - too bad about the shutter thing. Nice clear & gritty photos.

This one's done without any Pentax equipment whatsoever, not even a strap

CVS ASA200 film, Soligor T4 105/2.8, Yashica TL Electro-X

Thanks, nice grain there as well

I will see if I can fix the shutter, seems to be a well known problem and not too hard to fix if you're lucky.

Thank you very much Douglas.
Coming from digital, I am still feeling my way with film exposure and metering among other things.

Cheers,

Luc

Javier, are you using your ME super on aperture priority or manual? Just curious.

No problem, I use Aperture priority. Infact it is truly a point and shoot. I set the lens to F/8 or F/11 and set the focus to hyperfocal and leave it..For the kind of pictures I make, this seems to work out ok for me. With the ME SUPER, i don't need to spend anytime fiddling with settings and such.

Have you any suggestions that I could use to improve?

Just curious as your shots have a very high key feel to them.... might be the PP though. Or more likely the midday sun.

I do a similar thing with my MX, though I tend to do something like 1/500th @ f/16 or some such derivative .... I tend to top out shutter speeds with ISO 400 film, and sharpness suffers a bit of diffraction when I'm stopped down.

Your method @ f/8 or f/11 seems to make good use of the optimal aperture.

Thank you. I have 2 me supers. One I keep 200 speed film and the other 400 speed film. The one with 200 speed film, I have the M40F/2.8 that is superb at F/8-F11. I try and avoid F16 though many times I don't have much of a choice. I just bought another ME SUPER that I am going to have 800 speed film in it.

I think the me super is the finest 35mm film camera made...''ok, let the lynching begin ''
