WOW!!!

The Ferrania is not always the best choice for all subjects, but when there is a good match, the results are incredible. Particularly when there is a competent hand on the shutter matched by a good eye at the viewfinder. Excellent!

...I'm afraid I'm wandering further from the fold... I'm on an all things Minolta kick, which spread to SLRs when I became the owner of a SRT 201 in a package deal. Then: for a low price, a MD 35-70 f/3.5 constant aperture zoom - Leitz sold these as Leicas for the Leica SLR. I walked out of the camera show with it mounted on the 201, and Neopan 400 in the slot. For the first time, I'm also trying scanning as positives - I'll be damned, the 4490 seems to do better this way. Anyway, this is the first pic:

Nice shots with the SRT 201.

I am soooo... lucky that they don't have camera shows in my neck of the woods!

Nice shot Jussi.
I've been eyeing those Minoltas lately. Look like nice cameras.
I've been doing a little wandering myself. First it was a Yashica TL Electro and then 2 days ago I ran across a nice chrome Nikon FE with a Nikkor-S 35/2.8 attached and couldn't resist it, so tonight I have been browsing the internet looking at all things Nikon.

Steve
Not to worry though, I'm still around 17 Pentaxes to 3 other ( Olympus XA, Yashica, and the Nikon) not to mention the 20 or so Pentax lenses I own.
I blame this site for my CBA/LBA

Those are irresistible -- the FE that had found its way here my daughter snagged twice during her last break, and she's pretty hardcore when it comes to Pentax. At least so far I've managed to keep the Nikon thing at a limited vintage kit level ( only 3 real nikkors and a series e)... and the thought of an overly expensive digital body has so far been just a shudder.

The Minolta thing is tough though. Some of the glass is just so cheap, like Pentax before people figured out this backward compatibility thing. And the bods, very cheap... I've a XE-7 on its way right now... And I discovered there's a mod you can buy where you take out the lens mount off a Canon AF camera and replace it with a MD mount. That is strangely appealing to me. Imagine, converting a FF Canon to a manual focus Minolta....
