@ Javier great series in your two last posts.

I will add to the Nikon stuff,

Nikon FE, Nikkor-S 35/2.8, Fujicolor 200 (both shots)

Thank you. I have been looking at the Nikon FE series cams myself. I have quite a few lenses that I would love to use on film.

The marks on the third shot look like newton rings to me. If there is to much curve to the film as it sits in the holder, the middle will touch the glass of the scanner and will cause those marks.
1+ on the newton ring diagnosis.

Fearview, great portrait - love the wall backdrop.

Javier, the next to last one is my favorite, with the wall art. Awesome colors.

Colton - nice covered bridges...I like the perspective of the second one a lot.

Steve and Colton - that sounds probable; the negatives are pretty curly. I'll see if I can flatten them out under some books and rescan.

When checked my local craigs list, there was at least 4 listed yesterday. I ended up with a ''like new'' one with a 100mm F/2.8 lens and external flash for $150.00.
This guy lives two blocks from me. It was funny walking to his house to pick it up. He is the original owner and this was his back up to another FE2 he has.

Congrats on the FE2 Javier, pretty sweet camera and it sounds like you got a good deal with it and the 100/2.8. Is the lens a Nikkor?

Jussi, that is the Mckee Bridge in the Applegate Valley in S. Oregon, near Jacksonville OR.

How do you like the XE-7, and how does it compare to the SR-T 101?

I like the SRT a lot - it meters well with a modern battery except when you get to the sunny 16 territory, when it starts to measure much higher. Knowing that, it works fine. I like match needle metering. Which Minolta abandoned with their auto cameras - not even match LED and on some you couldn't meter in manual at all... which is approximately my only complaint about the XE-7 design so far. Silky smooth, ultra fine ratcheted film advance, they kept the nice plunger for stop down/DOF, there's a view finder blind, and they still have CLC metering.

Mine has a problem in that the mirror stays up a good portion of the time, I flick it to X or B and the mirror returns... and then sometimes everything works as it should. Something electrical I believe - mirror staying up was Minolta's way of telling you to get new batteries! I replaced these but that did not help.

The other problem with Minoltas is that I have yet to find a knowledgeable crew like here, or the Eric of Minolta SLRs (I found the Eric of TLRs and Minolta RF's)

Here's the crew posing:

the scan probably .. but it was very dim place if memory serve..the only light come from the windows on the left.. so the original scan was quite underexpose..so when the time i slide the brightness.. the noise rear its ugly head..

agree. love the color of provia.. create beautiful picture.

@Fearview Great shots, both the one from the F5 (always wanted one of those) and the portrait from the *ist and 43ltd.

F5 is amazing camera.. but its really heavy for a holiday trip. f100 will serve as better i think.
