Rob, thank you! It's hard to get a good picture of both of them. I have hundreds of bad digital outtakes.

Joerg, very nice photos - I love the cathedral shots. I am impressed with how the BW400CN works for you. I always get an unpleasant tint to my photos with it.

Mr. B, love the Kodachrome.

Zav, the first and last one are just stunning. Whoa.

Oscarpentax, me gusta #3; la luz es bonito. (lo siento por mi gramática, estudié español en la escuela secundaria)

Steve - ha! Love that one.

Another try (and another cross-post from Takumar club):
same afternoon,same spotmatic, same super-multi-coated Tak 1:3,5/35:
Very nice as well. I was going to ask you if the shots were taken in Berlin. Last picture confirms it.

Phil.

PS Check out my lens reviews of the K28/3.5 and K135/3.5, there are some old Kodachrome 64 shots taken in Berlin circa 1976.

Just did that.

Palace of the Republic has been demolished some years ago - it was contaminated with asbestos. Saving the building would have costed a tremendous amount of money, so it was torn down to make space for a reconstruction of the Berlin city castle, which had been blown up by the communits to make space for the palace of the republic.

I think demolition of the palace of the republic has been a political (and emotional) issue: Berliners assoicated the palace with communist dictatorship.
From an architectural point of view, it was estimated widely, and while it had been build as a symbol of a communist dictatorship, it was also home to the first eas-german parliamant that had come together as a result of the first free elections in east Germany.

The last time I was there, there was a huge lawn and the space was used as a park besides the river Spree, as reconstruction of the Berlin city has passed all parliamentary procedures - but there ist not enough money.

You just gave me an idea, I will spend the late afternoon in "Mitte" and see how it looks like at the moment. And I will take pictures.
On film.

Meanwhile some more film pictures from Bad Pyrmont, a small town in the Weserbergland, a mountaneous region somewhere in the middle between the Ruhr area and Hannover. Cross-posted from the kit-lens club.

Some weeks(/months) ago i had a not-so-bright idea:

Yes: modern da-lens on a chemical camera.
No, it should not work...

But that did not stop me from trying:

All pictures taken on the short end (18mm). "Sensor" was a Kodak Elitechrome 200 slide film, whose colours I really like.

The photos on display here should be taken using a Pentax. This forum is called pentaxforums.com. Although this pool is about film it is still under the pentaxforum heading. Although it is perfectly OK for a person to practice photography using a Pentax and a non-Pentax camera it is not OK (IMHO) to include photos taken by a non-Pentax camera here. Putting Nikon and Leica photos here is very silly and inappropriate.

With all due respect, I am the one who started this thread, with the ''intention'' of creating a thread for the love of film and welcomed ''all'' makes of cameras here.
This thread was started over two years ago and has over 313,000 views...I would suggest it is a very successful thread...If it offends you or anyone, you do not need to follow it. If you wish to create a Pentax only thread, by all means do so. Again, no disrespect meant or intended.
