Hope you find a source... though when I'm done with the two bricks I bought, I'm not sure I'll find more.

This isn't shot ON film, but is FILM PORN, just as an advertisement for buying more

This is a great picture on so many levels. The girl, the mirror, the quick drive by. Excellent!

The mirror is what gets it for me. Your eye kind of searches the picture and when you hit the mirror it really jumps out at you! Great composition.

My experiments with old film cameras continue!

Yashica Lynx 5000 - it's a fixed lens rangefinder with a 45mm f1.8 lens from the mid 60s:
F1.8 on 35mm gives a narrow depth of field!

The light just worked here for me:

Nice! What film are you using there?

I always wanted to try a rangefinder, the Lynx is very nice. What do they run?

It's Fuji Superia 400, scanned on a Nikon Coolscan IV

Yeah, the Lynx is a very nice rangefinder. I got mine for about $40, but it needed some work. The meter isn't working, but everything else about it is now in top form.

I have a 5000 and a 1000 and like them both. The 1000 is needing some work right now and the meters don't really work very well on either camera, but both are capable of decent photos.

Here are some shots from my first roll of Rollei Redbird. I liked the effect of this film on concrete buildings, from the architectural shots that “Turbosize” previously posted. Obviously not for everyday use, but I’ll use it for some of my architectural work.

This is not really a new film it’s just colour negative film rolled backwards, with the red emulsion side facing up. Regular C41 processing, but you have to print/scan from the base side or images will come out backwards. Supposedly the lower the shutter speed the more red will be produced; at speeds above 1/125 the film will be more yellow. I did not find much difference between shots taken at 1/30 or 1/125. As the film is rated at 400ISO I used a ND filter, so I could shoot at the lower speeds.

K24/2.8 & KM @ 1/30:

K35/2.0 & KM @ 1/60:

K20/4.0 & KM @ 1/60:

K20/4.0 & KM @ 1/125:

Phil.

Here's my first few. I shot film many years ago on point and shoots. All my SLR experience has been digital up until now. Just "test" shots. A few times I caught myself looking at the film door after a shot. My kids also asked to see the pictures right away after I took them.

I need to do better at keeping track of camera settings. These were with an MX and a 50mm 1.4 M series.
The film was Kodak Portra 400. Developed and scanned at MPIX.

I need to work on focus and learning the camera meters (MX sold now, but I have an LX and ME Super to learn the meters on).
