This is a Shisa. You might find them in China, but they are all over Okinawa, Japan - a small island with a history of Chinese influence. The shisas are put atop buildings and doorways. There is one with the mouth open, male, and the other with the mouth close, female. They are said to ward off evil. Many legends are built around Shisas, aka Lion Dogs.

Nokon 58 + LX ....I think.

here it is. first color film, cheapo Fantasia 200 from Drogerie Markt. shot with Pentax MZ-S, SMC-M 50/1.4, lab developed (disaster, it is almost entirely impossible to find decent c-41 lab here that doesn't leave marks on film), scaned on Canon 8400F

ok, next on "menu" are slides. some Provia 400F 120 waiting in fridge...
Love these two!

Spotmatic, 50mm 1.4, Kodachrome

Taken July 1973 near Cedar City, UT on a geology field camp. The geology department paid me $10 apiece for these and 6 or 7 more. I was rich.

They're scanned with an HP S20, which seems to have lost some focus.

This was taken by my Dad when Mum and him were in Spain 1962. I'm very sure this was taken with a Kodak Retina 1b using slide film.

Here's a couple I just got back from processing. Long expired and maltreated Fuji Superia 400 shot with Lubitel 1. Performing quite well despite the uncoated (and indeed cracked!! lens), and if you're wondering about the strange purple stray light at the upper corners it has a cracked back also...

Thanks Luc, it's amongst the 600 odd slides I found earlier this year. I've scanned about 150 so far. It's a rainy day project

Those shots are from my 1st b&w film: an Ilford HP5+ roll. I'm new to film photography and maybe you can give me advice on how to use it in a better way ^^'

Taken with a Ricoh 50mm f1.4

Lens used was a 500mm f8

Lens used: Voigtlander 125mm

Unfortunately I don't yet have access to a film scanner, so I've only got scans of dark room prints that I made a few years back. The first three were most likely taken with Tri-X 400 (we used that for most of my time doing photography in high school, but there's a chance that it's a cheap Ilford 400 film) except for the last one, which was taken with BW400CN. I don't remember which camera I used to take the first two, but the second two were with an Olympus OM something body... No clue on the lenses, either.

That Cloudgate sculpture is fun to shoot isn't it? I was in Chicago last summer and nearly had to be peeled away from it.

Great job knowing what that was! No one's ever guessed right out before. Yeah, I got something like 40 shots under it.

Some Fuji 200 Superia with the M 50mm f/1.4, taken a few days ago. Since friday I've been working on my first roll of Delta 100 (36exp).

edit; I mentioned in another post I noticed halfway through my Delta 100 roll I had the camera on Matrix metering. I was a little worried about it and the effect it was going to have. This entire Superia 200 roll was the same as I didn't touch the metering function since buying the camera. So Matrix metering with an M lens seems fine, maybe it just defaults to Center Weight?
