My Jupiter-12 did not work initially with my FED-2 either due to inadequate clearance of the lens body to the rangefinder lever. The standard fix is to carefully bend the focus lever up just a tiny bit to clear the lens. With any luck you can do this and not even have to recalibrate the rangefinder

I discovered that it is a common problem but have shied away from undertaking the solution! Having a lovely working FED, I am loathe to risk damaging anything. One day I'll pluck up the courage.

Thanks Jussi, it was taken with Sears KS-2(Ricoh XR-7) with Pentax M50mm f1.7 and Kodak BW400CN

Kris, really enjoyed the FED series on Ektar, particularly the Bath Abbey shots. Bravo.

Best,
Kevin

More ColorPlus... first: ES-II, SMC Takumar 105/2.8

then Minolta XE-5, MD 35-70 3.5 --- this is a sharp lens, sometimes too sharp too obviously

Great shots, Nesster. But I have to disagree - there's no such thing as a lens that's too sharp.

Thanks - I suppose what I mean is that some lenses tend to be aggressively SHARP, LOOK AT ME Sharp, ie. what should ideally go unsharp remains overly busy. This is not a problem with Takumars, but maybe some lenses from the 80's and 90's - before the bokeh thing got fashionable

^Nice...
That's a good exception to the rules of what you can't shoot in black and white. XD

yeah i love the film's gamut. Especially in those weird lighting conditions where bayern sensors + adobeRGB just can't handle those situations and color mapping looks limited and weird... but film looks much better I know it's not as accurate always but it doesn't matter

Love that poppy shot, Kris. I think I have a roll or two of Ektar laying around, I should load it up!

I tried two Ilford films recently that I hadn't used before: HP5 and FP4. Here's the HP5 shot on my 6x6:

And the FP4, on the ME Super with the FA77:

And here's a lily shot, with the same combo as above:

Everything was shot at 2-stops under and developed in Rodinal. 1-minute initial agitation followed by a 2-hour stand, which the finer-grain of these films seems to tolerate better than the Delta 400 or the Tri-X (which I actually prefer, however).
