I was cleaning / organizing my hard drives and came accross this roll. These I shot one week after the death of Michael Jackson. Shot these with my ME SUPER, COSINA 24F/2.8, FUJI REALA 100.

This news stand is no longer there. Shame because it had been there since the 20's from what I understand.

One of the many Jewelry stores.

Inside the Jewelry store. I got rebuked by the security guard and tried to make me delete the picture. Good luck with that one here and I was not about to give up my roll...It is amazing how a picture will bring back to memory great details of encounters...Pictures are priceless.

I put the rest of my roll here on my blog.

this may be a silly question, but do any of you record your exposure data when shooting film? meaning, do you write down or otherwise record your aperture/shutter speed for your shots? in theory, it sounds like a really good thing to do to get more comfortable/familiar with what your lenses give you at different settings, but the times I've tried, I've just not been disciplined enough to stick with it. I'm still pretty much a novice and I don't have the experience that some of you have, but did you do this when you were starting out?

and while I'm here... here's a couple more shots from my recent roll of Ektar... Vivitar 75-205mm zoom again. I actually got chased out of this place by plant workers, even though it was on a public road. I wonder if I'm in some "suspicious persons" database now, haha. Both cropped a bit:

and this one, shot with the Pentax-M 50/1.7, I like how this one feels like it could be 40 years old (full frame):
I always write down the type of film, camera, lenses, date and location when I shoot a roll of film and keep the sheets in an envelope. It helps to have this info later on when you get the film back from processing. This is just general info and not done at the time of shooting or per frame.

As for shutter speed & aperture settings, I only write this down when I’m testing a new lens. When I do this I usually have my wife along who writes down this detailed info in a binder per frame. It’s a bit cumbersome if you have to record this on your own, though it’s way easier if you are using a tripod.

Phil.

PS Like the last shot of the old van!

Been meaning to post these fall shots for over a year to show off a roll of Fuji 160s... (Good thing I got some good shots last fall because this past season has been a "dud" - leaves are still on the trees and in some cases, still green).

Best to all,
Kevin
Nice work Kevin, good to see some photos from you.

(new guy here)

Here's a few I just took over the weekend with my spotmatic II using the SMC takumar 50mm 1.4, running fujifilm 400.

I've only got low res scans, the one hour photo CD I got compressed the pics down to a 1mb each.
Welcome to the forum and nice shots!

Great work with the Yashica, I've often been intrigued by the 635, seem like it would be fun to be able to shoot 35mm film with a medium format camera.

Here's a few recent shots from me, all Provia 100F with my MZ-S.

jgredline - I love your photos. I've spent some time going through your blog/flickr, your street photography is really intriguing!

Phil - thanks for the input.great idea to put the info in the film envelope. I'll start to do that, at least. it would be nice to have a "mobile assistant" to help record exposure data, haha. unfortunately, I don't have photo buddies, I am always shooting alone, and rarely with my tripod. I guess I can live without remembering my exact exposure settings.

there are lots of good photos on the last few pages, I'll save the roll call and just say that I'm really enjoying the variety of photos being posted!

These photos were shot with plastic camera MZ-6 and cheap lens F35-70, Fuji superia 400. The vignetting in the 3rd photo was due to the rubber hood,
I forgot to shorten it at 35mm focal length. (Don't forget that Boeing 787 Dreamliner uses plastics extensively to reduce weight.)

The film definitely has a unique look to it. I can easily pick out the rolls when I scroll through my albums.

Here are some more examples taken with a Argus C3, AgfaPhoto Vista 100
