Hey Javier, nice to hear from you -- it's been a while. I'm looking forward to seeing some results from your new Leica (and please hold this one tight when thugs are running by you !!!)

M6 "Classic" or TTL? Lenses?

Either is cool, but I too worry that it will make you a target for a mugging! Heck, I even get nervous when I am shooting with my FED-2...looks too much like a vintage Leica!

Very nice! I found that I liked my SFX 200 results better using my B+W 091 red filter, than with my B+W 092 IR filter.

Steve,
Funny how things work. I logged on to B&H to get a K-5 figuring they would price match Adorama and while there I started to browse. I did a search for a 50mm lens as I was going to order one in Nikon mount as well. So in my search a LEICA 50mm f/2.0 came up and it was attached to an M6-TTL So after searching and reading for hours I called them and they actually had 3 of them. I ended up getting one of them with a 50F/1.4 lens, but spent way more than I could really afford right now. (since I retired I am on a fixed income) so hence the sale of some things. As for the film processing, I will simply have to learn to do it right myself...It will be nice to have total control of it. As for street shooting, I will use it in areas where the likely hood of getting robbed is as low as possible. But having said that, when I do go into those areas, I already use equipment that if I loose, It is no big deal. That is why I am keeping my ME Supers, and Canon AE-1...I have been shooting quite a bit of film of late, but have not had any developed. I have 8 rolls done of various types and as soon as I have two more, I will send them out to a pro shop in Hollywood that has a stellar rep..Atleast Until I am set up.

each to his own but I personally find using a slightly weaker IR filter gives you more wiggle room when you are printing an image. I find that the 091 and 092 filters are too contrasty with SFX - which tends to get grainer at the extremities of its contrast curve.

You're doomed, if you think CBA LBA is bad in Pentax land you just moved up to the big leagues. Congratulations. I can't imagine a camera more suited to your shooting style. (aside from an M9 )

Looking into my crystal ball, I see Voigtlander lenses in Javier's future. I would suggest one of their very nice 35mm models!!!

Been shooting with a Hasselblad 500c/m for the last couple weeks while my 35mm gets CLA'd. I love this thing. 12 shots a roll so I have to make them count, but I love the planning.

Now I can't help but feel that 36 shots is too much : )
