I find these really satisfying. Thanks for taking up the film

I recently put a roll through a Braun Paxette (the fixed lens 45mm version) that I fixed up. It has a pretty sharp lens which isn't coated, so flare is a consideration. I do have a hood and filters for it though, so future rolls can be better controlled!

Film was Kentmere 400 which is grainy, but not too bad. Rodinal didn't help in terms of grain, but it's all I have and I did 1+50 to ease the grain a bit. Negs were dried in my new home-built negative dryer and were a pleasure to spot

Love the spiral!

Autumn Rain

I just finished scanning one Ilford and I really like the grain and gradations.

Nice shots! I've found Kentmere most satisfactory; I've also had good experiences with Freestyle's Arista 120, and its cheap!

Tell us about the negative dryer! Pictures, maybe??

@ bmonki, loving the cat portrait best of all, but then again, I'm a little biased in favor of the felines...

I had taken my SuperProgram out to the battlefield in Gettysburg, PA early on New Year's Day and shot a roll of Portra 400VC. All shots taken with the M50 f1.7

I keep trying to get this farmhouse shot right and one of these days, I'll nail it. Just not in this one.

Thanks for looking and a late Happy New Year to all,
Kevin

@octavmandru - Glad you liked the photos. Scans are from the lab (fuji mini-lab - not sure which one). I've always been happier with the lab scans than my own. Thanks for sharing your menagerie with us, although your "navy" seal doesn't look particularly blue <g>.

Best,
Kevin

@ Kevin: Oh no... I was told he used to work or the Navy. Now he's supposed to be retired.

I stopped scanning in the minilab due to the scratches I was getting on on the film. Less processing, less damage.

I have to confess, I'm spending too much time looking at the images in this thread and not nearly enough time using the camera. Thanks again to everyone who has posted. I've enjoyed them all, and I'd like to think I'm learning from them as well.

So I finally have some recent shots that may be worthy...

I had never seen such colors in the morning sky before this last Saturday morning. I raced around the house gathering my equipment and managed to capture a few instances before it was gone. I wish I had been more prepared and less rushed.

I got my hair cut at my barber's in downtown Portland a few weeks ago and wandered through town a bit before catching the light rail back to the office. I had the Canon P mounted to the LZOS Jupiter-12 35/2 (LTM) with me and took a few photos along the way!
