Yep. My first 'real' camera was a 1977 K1000 I purchased brand new at Sears, along with a 55mm(Sears?) & 80-200mm(Sears?) zoom. Most of my shutterbugging habits can be traced back to that camera. A few years later I added a Vivitar 28-105mm zoom.
All were stolen in 1986
. The replacement K1000, A-50mm, A-70-210mm, and Vivitar Series 1 28-105mm were stolen in 1989
I had longed for another K1000 and corrected that in the Summer of 2010. I upgraded a bit by getting the SE model. I sent it straight to Eric for a CLA and seals. It's great to be shooting with my old friend again. The K2 in the snapshot (also purchased used in 2010) came with a SMC-K 55mm lens, and the insurance company bought me a new Vivitar Series I 28-105mm zoom back in 1989 (which I still shoot with today). Another camera I bought last year came bundled with a mint SMC-A 70-210mm zoom. So, I have 'sort of' recreated my original kit
