Excuse please this digital 'film' shot - just got delivery of 20x Fuji Pro 160S rolls... the packaging reminds me of ants for some reason. Taken with the Macro Tak 50/4.

So we have two Canons, a Ricoh and a Yashica, and a Pen as first 'real' cameras... anyone else? (My first full frame 35mm is an OM2s, my first autofocus a Pentax)
Jussi .. do you manage to shoot a rool ofthis film? we would love to see its result. esp over a portrait subject.

Sibiu doors

When I was in Sibiu (Romania), I took at set of images using my Lubitel 2 with the specific intention of making a poster. I'm rather pleased with the result.

Best wishes, Kris.

Very nice, I especially like the guitarist. To my eyes, the guitar is nearly 3-D.

(Crossposted from the FA limited thread...)

Me Super + FA 77
Fuji Pro 400H

There´s something very delicate about the colours of this particular film that I like very much. If I would have to pick up a favourite 400 ASA colour film It would be a tough choice between this and the Kodak Portra 400

Just found four old slides in my father's old Billingham. These are dated 1984, and are on Agfa CT18 slide film. These would have been taken with a Pentax LX, and the last two were with a Sigma 600mm mirror. Not sure about the first two. Quick and dirty scans from my old knackered Coolscan II, so not half as good as the actual slides:

Redid the 'scans' of the slides using my K5, a flash, a cardboard box, some white paper, and a reversed M50/1.7...

The LX rules! Excellent shots. The two taken with the Sigma mirror lens belie the usual statement of such lens' inferiority. I didn't see any of the typical doughnut highlights. I'll have to dust of my mirror lens.

I'll tell my Dad - I didn't think they were half bad either, but wasn't sure if I was being impartial!

The Sigma ones are a touch soft in full size, but having been playing with it, the DOF is so shallow most softness can be attributed to missing the focus I think. Wish my scanner was better and had hardware dust removal and no banding...

I don't think the scratches and dust are disturbing, I quite like them.
The only fault that I could notice about the scan is that horizontal line in the impalas shot. But that too is something I can live with.

These are from 5 years ago, from the beginnings of my old camera affliction.

This my then 15 year old daughter took with a '37 Franka 645 folder, shutter on Bulb and flash triggered by hand. The lens on this camera is a fairly poor Velostigmat.

After we got the Franka working we bought a Bessa I Vaskar. This is from a scanning experiment where I put the film right on the scanner glass, no holder.
