There are some tough acts to follow in this thread, but I have no shame. So here goes...

Back in February I picked up a good looking KM (ebay I think) but it needed seals and meter work. It sat on the shelf until just recently, when I sent it to Eric for CLA. He returned it a few days ago. Having never used it before, I was eager to put the KM to use. I loaded a roll of FujiColor 200 and wandered the homestead with it (I really gotta get outta here more often). Here are a few of the results, all shot with the M50/1.4 . My local Walmart developed and scanned the roll in less than an hour (I was too impatient to send the roll to Dwayne's), then I cropped each of these.

Brown and Green

Butterfly Bush

Moe the Goat

cheers,
Fred

Took a stroll through a local park with the LX + K50mm f1.2 and took a 6 frame pano using Kodak Ektar 100.

Along the way, I found this tattered old dragonfly that looks how I feel. This is a tiny crop of the frame as I didn't have a macro or extension rings.

I love the panorama, I bet it would great printed large. The colours look fantastic.

Thanks Jonathan as I can't wait for the fall colors to try it again. I'm fairly new the area and scoping out locations!

Les, if you haven't been to the various pieces of the Chatahoochee River National Park you owe yourself a visit. Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area - Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area Here you can find trillium growing wild and other wildflowers, not to mention the wild kayakers and tubers on the river, which offers trout fishing! Really. There is a parking fee. Restrooms.

A bit south in Clayton County is the wetlands center Clayton County Water Authority Wetlands Center This uses treated wastewater to irrigate a bowl of land in which there is a pond with a boardwalk. It is home to numerous birds, turtles, muskrats, deer, snakes, not to mention trillium and native azaleas. The sloping ground, by virture of the irrigation is essentially a temperate rain forest with huge beech and tulip trees, lush ferns, and...watch out for the lush poison ivy! Plant life, etc, is called out with markers, and there is a handsome interpretive center. No fees, so far...with financial pressures on local governments this could change. Check the website about restrooms.

Far more civilized (and expensive!) is the Atlanta Botanical Gardens Home | Atlanta Botanical Garden . This is a wonderful place, sadly the parking is a bit expensive. They have a conservatory with an impressive array of orchids, in addition to areas dedicated to cacti and other arid habitat species. As far as I can tell they have no problems with using tripods.

My first shots

Pentax ME. I read the instruction manual, put batteries in, and these are the first shots I got. I'm proud they came out.

At last, I've finished the roll of Ektar 100 in my SPII. Had it scanned too, I hate it when I have to mess around with my crap Canon flatbed. Pretty expensive in my book ($13 total), but I like the results.

Vacation

kcobain1992- What lens are you using in that first shot? Great set of images.
Pic from last week while on my vacation. Pentax ME Super. It amazes me how much detail film can retain.

I like the composition of these shots but I really don't like Ektar very much. I've only run one roll of 35mm through a camera and wasn't impressed. The grain is very fine but the colours and contrast are nasty.

The light and colours in this shot are fantastic. Do you mind telling us what film was used?
