Puma, what film was that? Looks like the photos are nicely aged... no substitute for that

Fuji Arcos 100, Ricoh Diacord, yellow filter. First pic is a contact sheet scan, the other two are film scans using the Epson software.

Oh, man. Are you SURE that Santa Anita one was shot on neg? That's the kind of color that totally arouses me.

You must have done some stuff to that digitally (don't we all?), but that color makes me weak in the knees, like a little girlie-man. Did you scan the print or the neg? I love the retro look. Something about the unreal saturation that inspires me.

Please--give me a CLUE. It looks totally chrome-like to me.

But to capture that water, I guess it would have to be at least 200.

Thank you. I remember that shot well. I shot it with my k1ooo and 50 F/1.4 lens @F/8. The only tweaking I did was increase contrast a tad and that be it. That samsung hi def film did put out some great colors. I say did, because I can't find it any longer.

I got some "film shots" for ya -- how about these: Originals shot with an Olympus OM2n on 35mm film (either Kodak Ultra Color 100 or Kodak HiDef 200) professionally transferred to slides then run through a Daylab to transfer to Polaroid, then doing an emulsion lift to heavy watercolor paper. Whew -- that made me tired. (c:

The watercolor paper backing doesn't show up in the scans.
