Good work with the J-9 on your K1000. I have used my J-9 on my film cameras and found that the results are definitely worth the weight and bulk.

Steve

Thanks, really like that lens too. At the moment defenetly my favorite one.

Colton, sorry I missed your post as I was finishing up cherry-picking the N65 shots to share. Yeah, that's my impression, too - it's a pretty decent lens. (Cat shot above is great, BTW - texture in the fur, wood, and stone is super, and the cute-factor is off-the-hook). Roll of slide film I'm waiting on is the first of the Provia you sent.

Best,
Kevin
Thanks Kevin.
You got some great shots with that N65.
I look forward to your Provia shots. I'm about half done a roll of Velvia in my K2.

Here's a few more from the P30T-A50/2

Colton, thanks for the comment on the N65 shots. I'm still not in love with the AF film cameras. They deliver the goods (and I really like matrix metering on film, but the rest of the picture-taking experience leaves me sort of cold. I have the same mixed feelings about my ZX-5n). I'm jealous of these Fuji 200 shots of yours from the P30T. The colors are great. I've never had really good luck with the consumer Fuji films. It may be my lab, but I doubt it as his work on other film stocks is outstanding, including other "flavors" of Fuji color negatives.

I'll look forward to the Velvia from your K2. Film has taught be a grudging patience, if nothing else.

Best,
Kevin

@wuzet; What a great shot, the light is excellent displayed on the photo! And just right in focus ofcourse

@montman; Nice shots again! Her eyes on pic 1 are super. Pitty your wife (or GF) has her eyes closed on that last pic. Is she holding a Mamiya 645??

Indeed, a Mamiya 645AF with 80 1.9

All shots from yesterday and today. Ya I took three shots and she had her eyes closed for two of them. The one with the eyes open was just not the right expression. I started shooting my Sigma 50 1.4 at 1.8 and there is a huge difference in sharpness.

Thanks! The outer focus points don't seem to work that great but I usually center focus and recomp anyway. I have problems focusing at 1.4 unless I constantly use my cameras micro adjust to recalabrate. But I live it at 1.8 and I love the bokeh and colors and I have the 1.4 if I need it.
