@Nesster, thanks for sharing this series. I like each one of them. With the flags on the car and chairs in the background, I'm guessing the Caddies were in a Memorial Day parade?

Really liked seeing the Sonnet in the background. It has been decades since I have seen one on the road or otherwise. Not many were sold here in the USA and few have survived.

A 2006 concept car. v6 biturbo, running on ethanol. Absolutely beautiful.

Old scan form the polar circle tour 2007. This is Gamvik, the northernmost settlement on the european mainland. (The north cape does not count, for it is on an island. North Cape is cheating. ;-) )

And this is what you get when you overdo it with the polarizer...
(Spotmatic F, some Takumar, and a film I unfortunately do not remember.)

Trying out the Soligor 35, the 5cm 1.9 PAD lens is really good so I had high hopes. The Miranda DR is the same as the Miranda D, except it has a center spot microprism. I think the plain groundglass on the D actually is easier to use. Expired Fuji 160S, CVS scans.

I wish the US mid-Atlantic beaches were that crowded!

Loaded a roll of Portra 400 into my ZX-5n on New Year's Day in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and set out early to see what there was to see. Unfortunately it was gray and cold, and I was singularly uninspired, and I only snapped three frames before giving up and switching to digital. Upon shooting the first couple frames with my K5 I realized I needed a stop of EV comp to balance the light coating of snow (and got annoyed with myself for not doing the same with the ZX-5n). Returned home to Connecticut without a lot of hope for the first three exposures on the roll of film and the best of intentions to finish it off in short order. "Short order" ended up being the better part of a month, but I've had the roll processed and tickled with how well the ZX-5n's matrix metering handled the scene. (Wish I had finished off the roll that day).

ZX-5n, FA 50 f1.4, Portra 400

Best to all,
Kevin

Finished up the roll of Portra shooting candids at a friend's 50th birthday party. Realize these shots won't be of much interest to anybody outside of those at the party, but I'm sharing a couple because I'm tickled with how well the exposures turned out. I've been feeling my way along the edges of using flash, both on digital and film, and it looks like I'm starting to get the hang of it...ZX-5n's TTL doesn't hurt either...

ZX-5n, FA50 f1.4, Metz 58, Portra 400

Best to all,
Kevin
