Fun with the Pentax Espio shooting Fuji Superia 400. Actually this camera is not really fun, as there is not much to do when shooting. The price was right, $0.00.

Phil.
That's the problem I've found with my only film compact (an Oly Mju). All I have to do is remember to switch off the flash every time I turn it on. The advantage is the small size and low weight which makes it good for keeping in a bag, but for getting fun from use there's nothing like a manual SLR.

I like your shots though. I've looked at Pentax compacts but many seem to have too few steps in their AF, so focus is often off. Your shots seem good and sharp though. What Espio model is it?

Still working my way through the slide archives...

From 1991. Taken on Barret Spur on the north side of Mt. Hood with the Ricoh XR7 and Tamron 28/2.5 (02B) on Fujichrome.

Thanks Jonathan.

It's an Espio 150 SL and the zoom is 38-150 f5.6-12. It seems pretty sharp and has three AF settings: five-point, infinity-landscape & spot. It also has a Panorama Mode.

Phil, I believe I have a pic of the statues' nephew:

National Graflex, New Portra 400

Here are a couple with New Portra 160 in the Bessa I Vaskar - I forget how good Portra 160 can be

Really lovely, Colton, great colors and the bokeh is very well done. I just sent some film for developing... David

Those Kodachrome shots are beautiful! I am also too young in photography to have been able to shoot the stuff.

i almost cried when i heard it was no more produce nor process in the whole world :'(

Few days ago i bought 20 rolls of Kodak Gold 100 (exp. 2006) for 26€. Some said it was a good deal, some not.

I did shoot two roll this week end @64 iso instead of 100, and processed @100. (so i get a +2/3 stops of overexposure)

Pentax Mz-5n / Kodak gold 100 +2/3 stop / probably F35/70 @35 and f4.5 or DA35/2.4 @f3.5/4. (i can't remember exactly)
