A few shots from the Pentax Spotmatic:

Tak 50/1.4 reversed with Kodak Ektar

Tak 50/1.4 not reversed

Same lens - only camera on me at the time. Tower with bright moon through a break in the clouds. Held on car door and counted somewhere between 20-30 seconds. Totally random.

Canon EOS 3 + Tamron 24-70

Keep posting the film shots!

I got an old 1953 Agfa Silette view finder camera with a frozen front focusing lens. After removing the glass, I was able to free the threads with a heat gun and WD40. I then put back the lenses as I remembered them, and set infinity focus using an SLR.
I noticed the coatings had turned hazy, and decided to see what my efforts had achieved, using old expired Kodak 400. A result is below, which is an interesting effect, one which might work on a portrait. Anyway, I pulled the lenses again, and found a formula on the net to make sure the lenses are back the right way. Not sure when I will test this again.

Jonathan...I had to do a double take on the Haida totem pole. I thought perhaps you had been taking photos in western Canada, but then I saw "London". A small gift perhaps from the former colony?

I bought a box of 20 rolls Kodak Gold 200 on eBay. Hadn't used this film in decades, but was much cheaper, and thought it would be good enough for camera testing. Froze most but tried one roll in my 2nd H1a that I haven't tried since Eric serviced it a while back. Sent it to Dwayne's for process & scan. These are just grabs with the H1a & 55 f2.0 Super Takumar, using a clip-on Pentax meter. The film is better than I expected. There is a vertical line on the left side of the cat, but the negative has no scratch or other sign of it, so it must be a scanning artifact - which I haven't seen before from Dwayne's. The crop of the cat shows the Super Tak still has nice rendering of detail.

Last month I had this exact experience from Dwayne's as well - a line was present in almost evert frame. (see the 2nd and 3rd shots here: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-film-slr-discussion/53503-cool-let...ml#post2391409) I notified them, primarily just to let them know they had a QC issue with the scanning.

I hope this isn't a trend.

The local Walgreens that used to process developed the same "line" problem with their film scanner, and it stayed that way until they stopped scanning film. I expect these automated scanners are long out of production, so parts and repairs are likely not available. Hope Dwayne's proves me wrong.

I don't know where they got it from, but it stands in the British Museum, around the back inside the wonderful new entry hall.
