Thanks to all for the many amazing images that keep appearing in this thread. They continue to inspire and have tided me over through the film "desert" I've been in since last February; musical commitments and a couple major digital projects kept me away from my film gear, but not from avidly following this thread.

This past April my mother-in-law passed away, necessitating a trip home to Gettysburg. She had a long, full life - three children of her own, eight grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren. Her funeral, while a sad occasion, ended up being a life-affirming family reunion. My wife and I had a day to ourselves to pay a visit to her mother's hometown Fairfield, PA and neighboring Orrtanna. I never knew, but Adams County PA is home to acres and acres of apple and peach orchards. In all the years we've been married, this was the first time we made an effort to drive through and stop for a few pictures.

All shots - ZX-5n, FA50 f1.4, Portra 400

The irony of this mail box wasn't lost on either of us...

Out behind the historic Fairfield Inn (1757), blacksmith Rodney Goodling was plying his trade.

(Have to say I miss Fuji Reala 100 - only "better" film I have access to via retail these days is Portra, although the more I see of it, the more it's growing on me).

Best to all,
Kevin

Welcome to Las Vegas sign taken on Kodak Ektar 100 sometime ago with the Pentax ME Super about 1 or 2 seconds. exposure.

This was late night - or really early morning, there were some drunk folks in front of me trying to take this shot with their p&s. It must not have been successful as I saw the flash go off and cussing followed the chimping . . .
This required three scans of the same frame - one over, one under and normal exposure and post processed to control the highlights and bring out as much of the shadow details as I could.

Posted this one along with a bunch of others over in "post your photos" but thought I'd add it here. My shop was out of Porta so I went with the only other 800 speed print film option: Lomo 800. Not as nice as the good stuff but I'd definitely shoot it again.
