Great colours in both shots! Provia 400X is my favorite slide film these days.

Thanks, I also like Provia 400X a lot but I've almost run out. One more half full roll in my Bronica. Have to get me some more.

You know it's been discontinued, right?

Has it, that would be a pity.
Anyway, Macodirect still sells it, and there seems to be still plenty of stock floating around in various places.

It has a very neutral color palette, low contrast and a little on the grainy side for a 100 speed film but sharp. Also, at $7.90 for a 3 pack of 36 exposure rolls, I think it is my new cheap film for general shooting.

There were rumors that it was discontinued, but nothing from Fuji directly. Provia 400X is still available at all places I buy film.

It's not rumours, it's official notice from Fuji Japan. Along with 400X, Fuji Neopan 400 is gone as well. Just because it's still for sale for little while. Doesn't mean there will be anymore made and it will be replaced.
If you like it, buy it up and freeze it. It also was announced back in July, so who knows how much stock there is left.

Shooting Film: Fujifilm Discontinues Neopan 400 B&W and Provia 400X Slide Films

I have been stocking up on Neopan/Presto 400.

Also B&H is already sold out of 120 400x: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=fuji+400x+120&N=0&InitialSearch=yes...op+Nav-Search=

Then in the end we'll just have Ilford for B&W, some Kodak (if they don't go bankrupted soon) and Fuji Superia.

I saw those notices back in July and ordered 35 rolls of Provia 400X in 120. However there has not been an official notice posted on the Fujifilm web site that I can find, including the bulletin from “ShootingFilm.net”.

Provia 400X is still listed as a product on the Fujifilm Global site:

I'm not sure who to believe anymore, I might call/email Fuji to confirm.

The only marking on the film is N0751014 on top between frames 1 & 2 and 100-2 above each frame thereafter. The bottom of the box lists made in USA along with their various websites. It is listed in their site at Lomography Color Negative 100 ISO 35mm 3 Pack ? Lomography Shop which states vivid colors and fantastic sharpness!

It also has the expected wide latitude as typical of C41 film.

I found this:

Lomography Rebranded Film Guide ← Geek Josh

Says:
Color Negative 100 [135]
Now: Kodak KodaColor VR 100 Plus
Was: Ferrania Solaris FG Plus 100

Don't expect anything from Fuji, part of Japanese culture of admitting defeat and they are known for having terrible communication with customers.

I'm going to Japan in 5 weeks so I will pick up few pro packs of 120. Even some Yodobashi stores are running out of 35mm 400x in some stores and if Yodobashi is running out...

By the way, I'm not trying to convince you, I'm still trying to find E100G and E100VS in 120, since that's my slide film of choice.

I keep thinking I should get some of these discontinued slide films while I can, but the only roll of slide film I've ever shot (Velvia, 120) is still sitting in my fridge waiting to be developed, as I need to make a special trip to a place that can do it. Until I know if I get on with it well enough to use it I won't buy any stocks.
