Price hikes are reality of film, the less film people buy, the more expensive it will get. I prefer price hikes over films being discontinued. At least they tried with Neopan 400, it is a lovely film. I have around 30 rolls of it left and enough Fuji Super Prodol to process all of it.
Well, i really do love film, but i cannot afford to pay 10 (13,40$) for one single roll, and have to pay the processing after that (430 ; roughly 6$). I cannot afford a wopping 20$ for one single film.

Just to give you an idea, that's twice the price of any Kodak color film or Ilford B&W film cost !

So yeah, i maintain my idea about never buying anymore fuji b&w.

Btw keep in mind that Fuji stated in 2011 that they want to retire from slide film around 2017, and i think it will retire completely at that moment. They created a cosmetic division to replace the film one... Just sayin'

I'm really not into rumours etc... so I will see what happens. What did worrying ever fix? Nothing.

Right now I shoot any film I like for results I like. There's nothing like Acros or Neopan or Trix or Tmax 400. etc... I don't really like Ilford films except Delta 3200.
I picked up lots of cheap Neopan while I was in Japan.

Also Fuji is cheap in Europe, so I would say the prices you mention are of your shop or in France. Not in europe:
Fuji Neopan 400 135-36

I bought from them before and I'm in Australia.

And for that amount of money you should develop your own film. You will be ahead after 3 or 4 rolls. I do my own development and it costs me between 25 to 50 cents per roll (depending on film format and developer). BW film is easy to process, I do it in my kitchen, no darkroom here.

Neopan is in the average price, but the 400H is 10€ here. I guess considering the Portra is half price, many people buy Portra instead.
I did have lower price in my shop when the Neopan was still on the selves. Only accros 100 now.

Fuji did a lot of pack for Superia 200/400 (like 10 box for the price of 8). But in the same time some film did really priced up, and even shop are stopping getting some because they don't sell anymore ! On the contrary, Kodak is back thanks to Fuji at least in my shop.

You are lucky to have a shop with decent prices. in Australia to get decent price I have to order from overseas or eBay. Also C41 and E6 costs $12 here for 35mm and $10 for 120 to develop. That's cheapest as well.

Lucky I go to japan often and I can get kodak and fuji at good prices. But ilford is expensive there, just like Australia.

I like the sprocket holes. I think tomorrow will be my last chance at snow photos for the year. Hoping for a snow day from work with the 8" in the forecast. Not that much, but people in the DC/northern Virginia area lose their minds over light rain and grass clippings, let alone snow.
