Processing and printing of color negative film - develop and print - great prices from a trusted name for over 50 years - Dwayne's Photo Service

If I do only one develop + basic scan with Dwayne's it's more than 10 dollars (10.48). Then the cost of developing + scanning + .50 cents for additional shipping comes to 8.48 per additional roll. I guess if you do a lot of rolls you might save a few bucks. But if only doing 1-2 rolls (which is my case) it's better to just do it locally.

I don't know of any cheaper option.

How about you post some full-sized versions of the photos and we'll decide if it takes nice pictures? I find it difficult to believe that you can't get a camera like this to take nice pictures.
will do, right now I am still struggling with scanning negatives. can't get the color right like those in prints.

The camera has a nice fast lens, but at the same time have limited control left for user. fun to use though.

Kentwell Hall in Suffolk England was finished mostly in 1540 and is now the home of Patrick Phillips bought in 1971 -- almost a ruin but restored and hosts many 're-enactments' the most famous of which are those of 'Tudor Times' .. I organised a trip for members of Brentwood Photographic Club-- we had bright sunshine which made portraits difficult because of their hats and the contrast. I took my 1996 Pentax MZ-5 for colour neg and my 1984 Mamiya C220 for B&W. I used 'fill-in flash' where i could outside. Lenses were mostly a 35-80mm f4-5.6 SMC Pentax-F and a 24m f2.8 Carl Zeiss Jena and 135mm f3.5 SMC Pentax-M all on 2006 outdated Konica VX200 film I rated at 125ASA and had processed by BOOTS Brentwood High Street and I scanned the prints.

Just got the first few rolls of film back from The Darkroom.
So far, even with the low-res scans, I'm VERY impressed with film.
The color shots were Lomography Color 100 and the B&W was Kodak BW400CN. All shots were taken with the Super Program and K 55mm f/1.8
The red blossoms were shot in a bit of wind, in dying light, so I had to keep the aperture stopped down a bit for DOF (Strong wind here, it kept moving the branch) and the shutter speed needed to be slower for the light. It wasn't what I was going for, but I like that it, to my eyes at least, looks kinda dreamy?

I just posted this on Flickr earlier today, and truth be told I'm not sure why. I don't find it at first glance to be a particularly strong image but I keep staring at it for some reason so I posted it. hehe... one of those things i guess.

As usual, the images posted here from Flickr always look far better if you click the link to actually *view* them on Flickr's site.

This takes me back

My primary camera for a while was a 35mm canon prima bf fixed focus. Not technically the best camera, but I spent more on travel in those days than I did on gear. Maybe I still should! Kodak gold 100. These were scanned a while ago.

Awesome shots, Clarkey! Rich colors, evocative subjects. It's been too long since I've hit the road.

Thanks very much. Waay too long for me also. Being there is when I seem to take shots that please me. I'm also wired to 35mm FL.
