Try it - I got an old Epson 4870 for peanuts (£25 I think), and it's more than good enough for MF scanning for my needs...

I explained the issue to my mum (the wedding planner xD) and she decided she'd figure the money out and ordered a v700 this morning.

I can't wait til it arrives.

Fantastic stuff in both 35mm and 120. Scans great as well.

Nikon F2AS with soviet Granit-11 zoom, Kodak Ektar, the slight turn in perspective is given by a scanning error from the lab:





I think the first shot is out of focus because I still have to learn how to keep an heavy zoom and an heavy camera stable.

This is my favourite cafeteria of the area, same camera and film, Micro-Nikkor 55mm f2.8:
