Thanks to Steve and his EKTAR 100 testing, I got much better results this time... While I still find the reds a little much, atleast they are under control. Aside from cropping for composition, no PP done. ME SUPER, TOKINA 28MM and EKTAR 100 +1/3 ev...The grain is almost none existent..The processing was done at Target.

For more of these in a larger size click on link.

I finally restarted b&w developing after 30 years - first a 35mm film, but immediately 120. Neopan Acros has a long tonal range and therefore seems less contrasty, perhaps the T-max develper has a hand in it. I decided to accentuate this in the scan, then add a bit of contrast in photoshop. Ricoh Diacord G - released in 1958, 80mm f3.5 Rikenon. The G has 10 aperture blades vs. 5 in the Diacord L.

You are very welcome! The reds are definitely there, but at least they are not day-glow! The doorpost in the last shot and the clown's pants are the real tests. Great saturation and good preservation of detail.

For kicks and grins I bought a 100' of expired (1970's) Eastman 5224 movie film on Ebay (OLD EXPIRED EASTMAN B & W 5224 NEGATIVE FILM 100 FEET - eBay (item 290328482488 end time Jul-09-09 07:49:31 PDT)).

I spooled a short 10 shot roll to shoot and see if it was even any good. I proceeded to chase the S.O. and the cats around the house with the SP1000. The S.O. assumed control of her shots (underware photo ban) - but here is a cat shot off the very end of the roll. Shot at what it was rated - 500asa, with the 55mm 1:2 Takumar. I actually like the look of the grain and the look of the film degradation. Plan to experiment with it a bit more this week.
