Last week, while in a fit of CBA, I ordered a NOS Russian Horizon 202. The camera arrived yesterday, and after doing some preliminary testing I loaded a short roll of expired Superia 200. Today I managed to shoot through the roll, get it developed, and scan it.
I happy to say that the camera worked great.
Here's one of today's shots.

Nice one, Colton.
Back in the film days, I hovered over picking up one of these cameras (I was also looking at the Noblex/Widelux), but it was simply out of my budget at that time!
It's a heck of a way to get 120 degree coverage and a nice juicy negative to scan/print. I'd love to get my hands on the Horozon 205pc, or better yet the new S3Pro.

I'd say you are in for a lot of fun.

You are getting excellent results from that Yashica along with good scans. Meanwhile my next contribution is a bit older than those.

I have always wanted a Minolta α-7, and I finally bought one with the early 35-70 f4 kit lens. Actually surprised by the lens, very smooth and dampened zoom action; and the camera is very solid with a good weight but slightly bigger than my K5! Coming from my *ist and MX it's a beast. Both of these are on expired Fuji Superia Xtra 400 shot at 320.

This one is shot out my scummy windshield while I was waiting in traffic late to the dentist. 1/160 + f11 + 70mm.

I was hanging out with my friend who babysits and two of the kids really wanted to take photos with my camera and I ended up being the first subject. They had a bit of issue using the viewfinder and the camera was giant in their hands so the shutter release was awkward for them. One of them would also fire off three shots of everything he wanted to photograph, but I didn't mind as it was a test roll. 1/100 + f4 + 50mm.

Hey Colton,

A cool new addition to your collection! I guess I'd have to see a regular shot of the front of that Safeway to see how much distortion is caused by the Horizon. For example, the structure does have the arch, right? I mean, that's not caused by the camera, is it?

I was always under the impression the Horizon was kinda like the old Widelux, in that it was a medium format camera. But if you're shooting Fuji Superia, I guess it's 35mm, right? Unless Fuji is marketing Superia as medium format now? So, assuming it's 35mm, how many exposures do you get to a roll of 36 exposures?

Thanks guys.
I was away for 3 days, so haven't been able to reply.

@cooltouch, yes the Safeway does have an arch, but the camera does create curves out of horizontal lines that are above and below the center.
The Horizon (all but the 205pc), and the Widelux (all but the 1500) are 35mm cameras. With a 36 frame roll, you get 21 frames.

@Clarkey, they a quite fun, and have a very unique perspective.
Good luck finding a 205pc, I read that there were maybe 24 ever produced
AFAIK, there is some debate as to whether the S3Pro is any better than the 202.

This shot shows the curved horizontal lines. The steps are actually straight.

Expired VericolorIII, Voightlander 6.6x9 AVUS using cut 6x9 film ISO25
I framed a bit too tight, this is the first time I used this film holder with the slightly smaller width film.
Straight out of the scanner, (scaled).

December morning in the Todgha river oasis, southern Morocco, 1983. MX, smc Pentax-M 200mm f/4, three hand-held shots on Agfachrome 100 Professional, hand-stitched in Photoshop.

I posted a different pano image shot at the same time here: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/26-mini-challenges-games-photo-stories/78...ml#post2625473

Actually a triple exposure, i shot the window scene, then went outside and shot the budding branches, and was not sure the shutter fired, so i snapped again. I would have preferred to get separate images. Oh well.
