Nice spring photo from your eyes. Love it. I really like the layers in this one brought together by that perspective of light.

Poland : Auschwitz 1 camp

Poland : Auschwitz 1 Concentration Camp. We were picked up in a mini-bus from Hotel with 6 others. the Security is STRICT on entering-- metal detectors-- I had to take off trouser belt and struggle through -- Driver said 'No large bags allowed' so had to leave Camera bag and stuff lenses in pockets then they all went through Security. We were put into groups of about 50 with different language speakers. Our guide rushed us through the 'Blocks' as so many people were there. I respected to request ' NO PHOTOS' in the room full of Human Hair or when we went into a Gas Chamber with the fake shower taps and holes for the Zyclon B pellets/ I managed to get some photos in showcases with flash but nothing in the cells -- too dark and crowded with visitors. I will show some of Camp 2 Birkenau soon. All PENTAX MZ-5 and 05/2008 dated Kodak Colorplus 200 rated 125 ASA-- The Infamous SIGN as we went into Camp 1

Canister of Zyclon B with fake pellets under glass showcase in one of the Blocks, MZ-5 + 50mm f1.4 SMC Pentax-M

Artificial Limbs taken off people, under glass in a room full of them.

Child's Doll and shoe under glass in a showcase with flash.

Thousands of shoes under glass in a large room, with flash.

How prisoners were housed in Camp 1, daylight + flash

The Fence around Camp 1, 24mm f2.8 Carl Zeiss Jena lens on my MZ-5

Amazing series.. even more so, as it is from my home town . brings back some memories of what I remember very vaguely , having been there well over 25 years ago ! But what I can tell from your photos is that they are doing truly an amazing job at preserving these horrifying artefacts for other generations of what is probably the most cruel and at the same time industrialised inhumane treatment of people ever....... thank you for sharing !

I like the rustic quality of the subject taken with this medium, it just fits. Good seeing and capture.
