Scratched negatives. Check the film path in the camera for rough spots and if you squeegee your negatives, stop. My guess is this happened after the film was taken out of the camera.

Steve
I also stopped using the squeeze squeegie thing. It was scratching my negs and I refuse to use it any longer.
I also stopped doing inversions with my paterson tanks, that inversion process was creating lines of dirty haze on the negatives where the levels matched up from normal to invert. I use the swizzle stick to rotate for agitation.

When i start my process I dip the ends of two kitchen sponges in water, and set them aside to wick the moisture up. When I am ready to wipe my negs for drying, I use the now, almost dry sponges to gently squeegie the water down the strip. I am thinking about using chamois instead.

Thanks for the info. might be something the lab did as I shot a roll of ektar in the same camera and it came out fine. not a huge deal as only the last two frames on the roll had the marks.

There may be a problem with your infinity setting then.
Here are example from my Rolfix, and they are hardly Holga:

One in colour
Yeah I was wondering if it was down to a defect or undetected damage in the individual camera. Also his were all color shots and the lens may not be well corrected for that. Your black & whites are fine. Er, so is your color. Back to theory A.

I'm not sure what it is that you're detecting.

As quirky as the Pentacon Six is, I keep loading it up, because ohhhhh that CZJ.
Mine has a broken frame-counter and I'm finally getting to the point I can do it all by feel and guess...
I squeezed 13 and 1/2 frames out of this roll with not a spacing issue to be found. There's just something about this camera that won't let me go.

I can see you are enjoying your photography for it's own sake, rather than being only concerned with results. To some, the camera is just an appliance they love no more than their dishwasher.

Thanks for your note. Indeed. My lady would, I'm sure, be perfectly happier were I enjoying my photography less. At least insofar as the number of times the lens points her direction.

Out playing with my newly CLA'd Olympus 35 RD, shooting Kodak Gold 200

Plus, I got to see some of my art up on the wall in the International Gallery of Contemporary Art in Anchorage as part of Rarefied Light, Alaska's largest juried exhibition.

I'm thinking about getting a Kiev 88 CM just to use the CZJ lenses, on 35 mm they are faboulus.

I don't really know anything about them... Looks like I should do some research

The Pentacon and Kiev mount were very similar, so some garage people started to modify Kiev 88s to fit DDR glass, Kiev Arsenal noticed it was appreciated and in the late 90s they introduced a factory version of the 88 called the CM where you can fit CZJ lenses, a new spotmeter prism plus other improvements like mirror lock up and supposedly better reliability of the standard 88.

If you see Ukranian specialists like Arax and Hartblei also sell CZJ lenses and there are many pics of their cameras with the Sonnar 180mm f2.8, supposedly one of the best portrait lenses for medium format.
