I spent several hundred dollars getting a CLA on a Canonet S. It is a heaver build than the Yashica and well made, but I can't say I like it that much. First of all it is semi-automatic and that means no light meter readings in manual. It's slowest speeds can only be reached by pressing an interlock. The feel of the release button is spring-heavy due to the trapped needle automatic system, which makes it seem the camera is arguing with me. Personal opinion I know, but even my Olympus SP doesn't win me over from the Lynx.

In theory my Olympus 35 RD is the superior camera to my Electro 35 GSN, but I like the Electro more. I'm actually thinking about posting the Oly in the marketplace as I really don't need 4 rangefinders and now 2 film slrs since I picked up a Spotmatic SP yesterday with a focal 35mm f2.8 mounted and a pair of Vivitar 400mm m42 preset lenses, one f5.6 the other f6.3. Pawn shop LBA is affordable at least..,

As for the Yashica Lynx, this is what it looks like.
I actually just spotted one of these in a market in Sydney! Was tempted to pick it up after seeing what the lens can do, but it was looking a bit sad...

There is a potential "weakness" in the linkage between speed and aperture rings if they are very roughly handled, resulting in aperture blades being torn off their pivots. My original Lynx (bought in 1969) was once stolen and returned by the father, but not before the mentioned damage had been done. I have had it repaired since then as it has been around the world with me and taken many of my Kodachromes.

I am waiting for my Olympus 35 RC to arrive. $8.25 + shipping.

In the mean time, I got a twofer deal. Two Minolta Hi-Matics. One is the AF, the other a G2.
The G2 is broken. A very fine weak spring that puts pressure on the aperture control arm fell off.
Every shot I took was at about f:22. I took the bottom off and attempted to reset the spring, but it ended up sproinging off to somewhere, and so the camera is junk. Too bad, cuz I really kinda liked it.

Very underexposed, Fuji color 200 print film from the G2

And a couple from the AF on Ultrafine 100. and the flash does work! Yay.

The first looks like desaturated Portra (to me), not sure about the second one - looks underexposed with a lot of digital noise-reduction in the scanning process?
(was out of town and AFK for a few days) the second was slightly underexposed, yup, but it's a fairly heavy crop - much more grain. i don't think i used much if any NR though.

Nice! Love the composition. Nature provides opportunities, this is good seeing, and I'm there.

original scan with slight curve tweak - i don't recall what was used. these rolls were all "buget scans" from NCPS

(MX, FA31, Portra160)

Good to hear.
I've been to most of the parks at one point or another (thanks to my dad when I was a kid), but i've not been through that one yet.
Need to make the trip.

Testing out my new to me Spotmatic SP. All is Fuji Superia 800, first is a Focal 35mm f2.8mm, the rest are from a pair of m42 400mm Vivitar's I picked up at the same time, handheld.
