I have a couple of Nettars but haven't used either in a while. They tend to get overlooked for for Solida III and the bigger SLR or TLR.

I spent some time rescanning some expired slide film that I shot in 2014. The film was Elitechrome 200 that had expired in 1999 (or something) and didn't age very well, but I got some images I like from it.

In the interest of ... time? How do you like my new DSLR scanning method?

Well, in the interest of time, you may be onto something there, but in the interest of quality, you may be disappointed.

Looks good for this time of year, January maybe not!

I spy a lovely receiver on the left, second row middle. Please post a larger picture, audio porn is appreciated.

Marantz 2235B....

I've had not-a-small-number of this vintage receivers over the years, stereos, quads... some beauts and some monsters.... Pioneers, Sansuis....
This is the one I've finally settled into... Probably because it reminds me so much of the Pioneer SX-737 (or 727 - I can't remember now) that I grew up, but with a little more warmth and that faceplate that so easy to love.

with the K-3 a couple years ago...

(attached below is the Provia shot from window slide... I point cameras at it more than I'd like to admit. )

Love it, thanks for posting!

Looks similar to my first receiver I bought in the mid 70's. Great style back then and the electronics were built to last more than a couple years.

Absolutley. Just like the cameras of that time, they have all the niceties I want, none of the fluff, and are at the end of the built-to-last mindset. As far as new equipment goes, I don't think there is anything that comes close in terms of sounds until you cross into the *thousands* of dollars ... and I simply won't.
My current setup is perfection (for me) and I doubt I'll change it. A 70s Marantz receiver, an 80s Technics linear turntable, a pair of modern (3 yr old) Wharfedale bookshelf speakers, and a Sonos connect for streaming FLAC content. The whole setup is so damn tiny and yet it makes me grin from ear-to-ear weekly.
