Canonet

Here's some from my first roll through a Canonet QL17. Y2 filter, TX400 devved 8min in DD-X. Shutter priority w/ AE lock seems to work well, and the lens is pretty sharp at middle apertures. (however, when I resize from LR I get sharpening artifacts) Night shot was 1/30th @ f/2.

I love #3 - really clear night shot! What do you think re. yellow filter use in regular shooting? I'm finding perhaps it flattens urban tones too much.

The Bessa is suited to this sort of photography. I shot these two through a train window. Voigtlander Bessa I 6x9 folder with Vaskar lens. Tri-X developed in T-max, scanned at 1200 DPI on a 4490 using Epson software, curves adjusted and image downsized to 1500 wide in ps CS.

It was a cloudy day, in the evening, and through a tinted window... I set aperture nearly wide open and shutter to 50.

how do RF people focus... so weird,

that #1 shot is really good nesster, if only a bit more background light, shining on the trian.

I did take the filter off at night. I'm not too sure about Y2 and general shooting, as this was my first filtered roll in a while ( I've dinged the filter ring of my M 28mm f/2, and have no filters for my MF lenses). I'm pretty pleased with the tones, and it helps skies from washing out.

Also, when running ISO 400 in a camera that tops out at 1/500th and f/16, the Y2 gives me a 1 stop loss that is very useful.

First three are DA 18-55mm on Me Super, under exposed because it makes the ME meter go haywire (My ME died shortly after I'm sorry to say).

Just finished scanning a roll of XP2. All taken with a Pentax MX. This was with the SMC-M 28mm f2.8:

And with the SMC-M 50mm f1.7.

Roll 2 through my medium format SLR... obtained an incident meter and a wider lens, and brought it to meet my father for breakfast at a cafe by my workplace.

I'm liking that depth of field for a wide lens, wide open. Ilford FP4+ in DD-X 1:4 for 10 mins. Bronica ETRS & 50mm PE

Went out shooting with the 1937 Certo Super Sport Dolly 6x6, with a Xenar 75mm f/2.8 lens. Kodak 100TMX developed in T-max, Epson 4490 scan.

I shot this to get the light bloom with the uncoated Xenar. f/3.5 @ 1/50 sec.

Facing the other way in the Hoboken Erie Lackawanna station waiting hall. f/3.5 @ 1/50sec. The lens gets a bit soft and fuzzy at this aperture, but the frame size on the cam is huge, extending to the film id text... so a 6x6 frame of this would be just the central portions.

Less than successful street shooting - as the RF isnt calibrated, I had to guess focus, and guessed too near.
