If I then simply set the bright and dark points in each color channel using Levels, it has proper white and black, but looks more like what we'd expect from xpro.

Then using levels again to lower the midpoint of both the blue and green channels, it starts to look closer to normal.

A couple on Ilford HP5+ developed in Sprint 1:9 with a shorter agitation (only 10 seconds initially, and one inversion every minute for a total of 10 minutes).



And this one in a Checker's drive thru, that once I scanned it, I pulled it into photoshop and did a split-toning where the highlight area are toned red to mimic the light as I saw it.
