I like the shot.

BTW, what airline still serves that kind of meal nowadays?

Nice photos everyone, and I am excited to see a couple of new contributors here
Javier - nice shots, and your family is a rather attractive bunch.
I'll second that, Jason, and the photographs aren't bad either.

Nice job with the Ilford, Javier.

Best,
Kevin

Finally bought myself a film scanner. I had previously tried to post shots here by scanning the prints but the result wasn't too good. I'm still trying to get to grips with the film scanner software though

Which scanner did you get Vendee? I have just gotten into film scanning also. I love the control, but it can be tedious at times and sometimes my results vary a bit.

I changed my mind about my scanner choice about a dozen times. I couldn't afford/justify a Coolscan V or a Epson V700 because I will continue to wet print my best stuff but I hate doing wet contact prints. I found that contact sheets in 35mm were too small to judge the quality of the shot and also it was a waste of expensive photo paper. So I wanted something that would give me a quick low res substitute for the contact sheet. I also wanted to be able to produce scans that were good enough for web use.

I was going to go for the Epson V500 but I was worried about how the holder would handle curly negs. I had read of some V500 owners having to buy a custom holder with ANR glass, just to keep the negs flat. I shoot APX100/Retro 100 quite a bit and that produces negs which curl quite a bit.

So in the end, I went for the Plustek V7500i which seems to produce very good quality scans but the downside is that it doesn't have the batch scan capability that a flatbed scanner has. My 7500i only cost about 20% more than the Epson V500 would have done so I'm happy with my decision.

Hi Folks,
Sorry for the long post and crappy photos. I shot these while riding around on my bike. I rode about 20 miles this day and I was done...Actually, to be honest, I called my wife to pick me up as I was too tired to make it home. She was tempted to leave me there.
Pentax K1OOO, SMC M 50F/1.4 but all shot at F/8 and Ilford XP-2

I came across this guitarist playing for coins

Then this couple

It was at this point, that I realized, I just rode some 15 miles to get here and I had to still ride home...

About 5 miles into downtown L.A. I called home and called my wife to pick me up. I was done and worst of all, I forgot to bring an extra roll of film.
