I finally got out and did some shooting this weekend and managed to finish off the roll of Rollei Retro 80s that has been languishing in the camera for the last month or so. I am still not real comfortable with RR 80s and have not been able to get the quality of images that I have seen posted on the Web. I am seriously thinking that a change in development is in order.

Evening's Corridor

Ricoh XR-2s, KMZ MC Zenitar 16/2.8 Fisheye, Rollei Retro 80s (FG-7 1:15 10' @ 70F)

Early evening light through Portland's downtown.

Sculpted Metal

Ricoh XR-2s, KMZ MC Zenitar 16/2.8 Fisheye, Rollei Retro 80s (FG-7 1:15 10' @ 70F)

Metal sculpture in the park adjacent to the Regence Blue Cross building in Portland.

Armored Spider

Ricoh XR-2s, KMZ MC Zenitar 16/2.8 Fisheye, Rollei Retro 80s (FG-7 1:15 10' @ 70F)

From the collection at Ex Nihilo - Spirits of Iron (Dan Klennert, sculptor).

Metal Fusion Band

Ricoh XR-2s, KMZ MC Zenitar 16/2.8 Fisheye, Rollei Retro 80s (FG-7 1:15 10' @ 70F)

Also from the collection at Ex Nihilo (Dan Klennert, sculptor).

The Essence of Manhood

Ricoh XR-2s, Pentax-M 50/1.7, Rollei Retro 80s (FG-7 1:15 10' @ 70F)

Non-metal "sculpture" from the collection at Ex Nihilo (Dan Klennert, sculptor).

Tar Patching Revealed

Ricoh XR-2s, Pentax-M 50/1.7, Rollei Retro 80s (FG-7 1:15 10' @ 70F)

Have you ever suspected that the significance of the patterns in roadway tar patching goes beyond the cracks in the pavement? From the Paradise Park Picnic Area parking lot, Mt. Rainier National Park. Your tax dollars at work.

Vintage Baseball: Between Innings

Ricoh XR-2s, Pentax-M 50/1.7, Rollei Retro 80s (FG-7 1:15 10' @ 70F)

Vintage 1867 baseball is a recent tradition at the Ft. Vancouver Historic Preserve. One of the features is a brass band whose job it is to play between innings.

Spotmatic SP II. I had to adjust exposure on every one of the shots, I believe the hearing aid battery I was using was a bit low, reading less light than was really there, every one was over exposed by about 1 stop. I have a 392 in it now, so we'll see how the next roll comes out. Other than the exposures, everything seems to be working well!!

Good stuff, Steve, with exellent tonal range. I'm not much on fisheye lenses, but I dig the spider shot. I like the normal lens shots a heap.

Thanks! I like the spider too, but the "Essence of Manhood" is my personal favorite.

Steve, nice photos. That Rollei film has an interesting look to it. I like the last few shots in particular.

Nice colours and really sharp shots Stratman. What film did you use? Or did I miss that somewhere?

The credit goes to the artist who put the thing together! It was fun to photograph it though

All shot with EOS 3, TMY @ 400 developed in D76 and scanned with Plustek scanner. I've got to find out whats putting that line through my negs. Its not on the shots at the end of the roll.

Dust on the canister light trap?
Squeegee mark?

@freedomflashing

Very nice photos. Do you have the details (film, camera, developer, scanner) to share?

Steve
It could be the first but not the second. I use distilled water and dishwasher rinse aid (who needs photo-flo) in my final rinse so I don't need to squeege...... it all dries fine without any marks.

Hopefully it was just a speck of dust on the canister. I can't check the camera out at the moment as I've got a roll of Tri-x in there.
