She was quite a pretty girl. I was lucky to have my camera ready as I was walking on the river path and I managed to snatch off a couple of shots of her.

That M135 is a nice lens. I've got one here at home but I don't often take it out because its too long for most of the stuff I shoot but once in a while its really handy.

Ferrania has stopped making this film. Too bad; it has some black and white soul ...

Paul, thanks for the kind words. You mentioned the "bike" shot (which is exactly why I shot it). Point of fact, it's a pile of construction garbage and the "sprocket" is actually an expired saw blade

Jason, looking forward to your FP4 stuff when you get it processed. I haven't had a whole lotta luck with metering by eye. I'm sure you'll do better than I did - the one time I tried it, I ended up with essentially a blank roll of film (and certainly nothing I'd post here <g>).

P. S. to Paul - your Ferrania shots came through just as I posted my response. Looks like you're putting your SP1000 to good use. 'Nother huge coincidence; that roll of film I blew metering by eye was shot with an SPII with a sketchy meter. Outdoor toilet shot is an inspired piece of whimsy <g>.

Paul, IMO that second shot is a great use of harsh direct lighting. Well done.

Kevin, I did cheat and use another camera to meter with initially, then went from there and kept Sunny 16 in mind too. Should be OK but we shall see soon

I saw the 'bike' also. In quick viewing at work I didn't realise it was anything other than a trashed bike!

My last roll of branded APX 100 (although I do have 20 rolls of Rollei Retro 100 in the freezer). All developed in Rodinal 1+50.

I just tried out a roll of Adox CMS20 developed in Rodinal 1+100 stand.
Even with stand development which is usually pretty good at keeping contrast in check, the bloody thing has too much contrast. For outdoors (mix cloudy day hiking) it did not work at all.
I guess that you might really need to fork big $ for the Adox developer to make it work.

This is what I salvaged.
Pentax LX with FA77 or FA31

BTW, is there a way to make the [IMGWIDE] work with smaller images than 850 pixels wide. It would be very usefull to have the image showing at let's say 500 pix and then blow-up big as needed? EDIT: I think I found the answer in one of Adam's post.

I guess you had to do a lot of work on the scanner or in PP, but those shots look pretty good to me. I like the shallow DoF particularly in the second, nice shot. Even if I don't do my own dev yet, I know what it feels like when the shots don't come out like you had hoped or expected.
