hello, new to the forum and I thought I would post a couple of my own film pics. I don't have many scanned to disk but here goes. They are shots of my mother and my nephew last Thanksgiving. The b&w is kodak bw400cn and the color pic is kodak HD400 I think. Both shot using a Minolta Hi-matic 7s. Kinda cruddy drugstore scans and don't do the photos justice. Love all the photos on this thread, I'm getting so many ideas to try out.
The first one is very nice.

Nice pics. I like the reflections you caught in the bubbles in the first pic and that look on her face in the third one.

How are you finding the Canon P? I am so wishing that I had bit the bullet and gotten a P rather than going the FSU route. They are such beautiful cameras and have the reputation for being very robust as well. BTW, what lens was mounted to the P?Steve
I cannot make it any easier for you. I did the same thing. But then I found the Canon P relatively easily and wishes that I would have saved my money spent on the FSU. This is for me a case when going cheap is more expensive.

the P is solidly built (like an LX) and simply just work (like a MX). So I like it a lot. I wish it would be a tad smaller but that is probably why it feels nice and strong.
I use the 35/2.8 and the 100/3.5.
My only gripe is that none of the Canon lenses focusses at a close enough range. For my taste.

PS: if you go The Canon route, I have an extra 50/1.8 silver that I plan to sell.

Cheers,

Luc

Nice shots Luc; the photos by the river/lake are particularly great IMO.
Thanks.
It is actually an inlet that goes quite deep inland.

Cheers,

Luc
