All you need is a Super Program, M20/4 and Neopan 400 pushed a stop.
(For even better results, clean film drying area)

Haha, I think I can safely assume how you know this! But my question is, what went wrong in your case? I braced myself for bad results right from the start, so I was over the moon when my first 2 rolls worked out. As soon as I get to a roll that I really value the results for, I will probably get a bit nervous!

Also, any tips for getting a roll of 35mm out of the cartridge, when you can't seem to retrieve the film leader? A bottle opener in the dark?

Never saw that internet hoax, but that photo is cool!

The M20 f/4 is great on film isn't it? I seem to find it has similar properties to the modern DA15 - tiny, sharp, great FoV, good flare resistance (for an M lens).

Thanks Steve. I have one of those leader retriever things, which works great for every other roll I have used it on, but not this 'problem roll'

I will give the bottle opener a go.

BTW, I will make a detailed post on the thread I created a while back, explaining what I went with etc when I get some more time. I have learnt a little bit already though, regarding leaky plastic dev tanks and film changing bags

The M20 is even wider than the DA15 and tiny. On an MX, the whole package is probably smaller than a DA12-24 zoom. It is a great option for film as an ultrawide as discussed on another thread.

The internet hoax featured a white cat called Snowball that was stated to be about 87pounds photographed in its owner's arms. That one used Photoshop. 'Snowball' Giant Cat Update

Thanks! I also tried some Rollei 400S under the same circumstances but those came out quite bad. Way too contrasty and not mucht midtones. (In fact I have lost my patience with Rollei 400S, sold the rest of the films that I had.)

Th Harrier shot would gain by a little bit of Photoshop adjustment to make the lines horizontal and increase the symmetry.
