This is just a quick post to remind everyone just how consistently good the photos on this thread really are. Two thumbs up all around!

+1 on that, Steve!

This may be the last shot from Buttermilk Falls near Ithaca NY, from the summer of '09. For sense of scale, if you look top middle above the falls there's a little light-ish blob - that's a naked guy taking a bath in the stream. The stones on the right are the path up the gorge.

LOL, yea, this was very early in the morning - the guy and his dog were walking up as I walked down... later when I was going back there he was nekkid with his dog in the stream.

to the other edge, some person is looking at an Adolph De Meyer photograph from 1912

I have really enjoyed your museum series, but the question that keeps nagging me is how you managed to photograph inside the museum. Whenever I have tried, the docents are on me like flies to potato salad.

Steve, in a good portion of the Met they allow photography, no flashes etc though.

Jake - those are wonderful portraits, and I like how the Arista pushes...

Thanks Nesster. I got a few 100ft rolls of Arista Premium 400 when they were still available. Been trying to find the best time and dilution for pushing this to 1600, seeing that Neopan 1600 is gone.

Arista Premium 400 is still available in 100' rolls...at least it was when I pulled the Web page up **

Arista Premium B&W 400 ISO 35mm x 100 ft. roll | Freestyle Photographic Supplies

I know that you have as much as you need, but don't want to see other people discouraged from trying to buy based on rumored unavailability.

Thanks Steve! This is good news. They ran out of stock before and when I checked (several times) they didn't have it for a while. Great to know it's being offered again.

Ouch, I hadn't kept track of the ultra fast films - and was just thinking I should get more neopan 1600 as this roll came out so well. Damn. I suppose that's film life these days
