Nice shot on the steps in Girona, Luc. I recognize the spot from a few of mine from the summer. I did not get a subject like that gentleman, though.

My next trip out that way will include a bigger film component in the equipment, though I'm not sure it will include the 645. The more I use that camera, though, the more tempting the idea gets.

A few strange shots from the first test roll after surgery on the FED-2. Rangefinder adjustment looks to be spot on

Mississippi Color

One of the colorfully restored houses in Portland's Mississippi District.

Watch That Last Step...

Star Tree in Color

This is a revisit of a monochrome image I took about a month ago.

Painted Over

Liberty...Slightly Askew

All with the FED-2 (FSU rangefinder) and Jupiter-8 50/2 using Ferrania Solaris 400 (thanks Jussi (Nesster)!). Shooting with the FED and my other recently acquired rangefinders has been an interesting experience. It really has resulted in a somewhat different shooting style. Fascinating...

P.S. Sorry about the dust on the scans. I may redo them when I remember to set digital ICE to ON

Whoa, that is some great color - seems that with Ferrania there's often surprises. You are making good use of the Fed.

Thanks guys.
I could not resist the candelabra and the roof. I expected the geometrical distortion to give more space to the shot and be more dynamic and it did.
The gentleman was the only reason for the shot of the stairs.

Cheers,

Luc

In November, I added a black SPII to my collection. The camera is in great shape except the meter doesn't seem to work and it has a chrome bottom plate. It came with a very nice S-M-C Takumar 50/1.4 attached which I eventually sold which made the body basically free. I finally got around to getting the test roll developed which I had shot in early December.

I have to confess to boosting the contrast and saturation in PP, but I did not have to do much. I was counting a little bit of garishness to add punch to the subjects.

As for the FED-2...I am having fun with it, though I still have a light leak that pops up when there is direct sun from the right. Light is coming in from near the rangefinder window. I think I will have to craft a couple of light baffles to flank the sides of the shutter area.

Nice. As I've mentioned, its a camera/film combo I find useful as well.

I stink it up in color. I've got to go back to this place and do it properly in black and white!
