We were waiting at Heathrow Terminal 5 and there was a Cuban band and dancers to promote rum Havana Club.

Here's a few from a roll of expired Provia 400F I shot with my MZ-L and FA 43/1.9.

I like it. This is a good composition and the gulls are doing a good job. Did you get a release?

Cheers,

Luc

How did you scan the leaves - superb quality, looks great, very easy on the eye and smooth colour.

Thanks, Luc, Steve, and Jack - it was strange, all those gulls flying around in the no-man's land between Chinatown and the federal courts, a block or so from where the old Five Points used to be...

Thanks,

I scanned those on a Epson V500 with the Epson software. I mostly just let the software automatically do exposure and sometimes I will adjust highlight/shadow clipping as needed. Sometimes I will adjust the color/tone curve a bit.
I do most basic editing using Picasa and I have found that if I open a scan in Photoshop Elements 6, it seems to add a significant amount of saturation to the image. If I can work with the scan only using Picasa, it seem to have a much more natural look.

Pentax Spotmatic SP2, Super Tak 35, Fuji Superia 200

These are from a stroll through China town in L.A. this past saturday. I was hoping to get those funky colors from the superia as I do with the 99 cents film, but to no avail. They are close, but not quite there.

The reds always seem to be really ''red''
