Battling Sisters

Last two are shots of former neighbor girls. One was a tomboy (on the car), age 7. The other was only 5 years old but the same size as her older sister; and though she looked somewhat innocent, it wasn't quite the case.

I wanted to do the freckle-face sisters' portraits after an incident where I was working outside in my yard and kept hearing what sounded like faint grunting sounds. I followed the noise to my neighbor's side of the house where the sisters were beating the crap out of each other. I don't mean mere hair pulling, but serious take downs, kicking and punching. It took some effort to pry them apart too, neither had had enough.

So later when I saw the older sis sitting on the car, I was teasing her about it (which is why she was laughing), and got her to tell me why they were so quiet. She said "so mom wouldn't hear and make us stop."

VERRRRRY expired c-41 b&w film. 3 years it was in a hot bag, and for 1 year its been in my fridge. I think the random grain changes was from the expired-ness of it. I walked around the city asking random strangers if I could take their photos.

One portrait with ME-super and M-50mm f2. Think it was taken on agfa apx400. This one is scanned from home made print.
Great shot.

Great set. The last one is amazing. Whatever is in the background seem to mimic the guys face perfectly.

Nice shots Jason. Tri-X seems to do very well at 1600. What developer did you use? I have a roll of Arista Premium 400 (aka Tri-X) in my SV that I am shooting at 1250 and am planning on developing in Diafine.

Cross Posted from Medium format thread
Retro 100 Ilfosol 3 1+9 ETRSI w/ MC40 f4 probably @ f11, but it was so long back i don't remember
the white dots in the black are lights from inside (think i got all the dust) a shot of the Loathed/Loved new Royal Ontario Museum addition (I'm of 2 minds myself)

This film scratches if you look at it the wrong way and curls like crazy, took over 2 weeks of flattening to make it reasonably scannable
Glad i don't have any left

Back to something better

Great shot Eddie.

I loath the building myself but that takes nothing away from your image. I'd like the place a lot better if they had not grafted this bit on to the older building. Set alone in a open field the new addition would be quite attractive. As it sits it is a mess.
