Discarded bowls somewhere near Chini, Guangdong, China

Fujifilm Acros @ 80 in HC110 - I really love Acros. It reminds me of the smooth grey skin of a dolphin.

lots of nice shots here recently...

I haven't looked at this mega thread for a while, but looked through the last couple of pages just now - lots of really nice shots!

Here's a recent scan of a not-so-recent shot: From the Croatian town of Cres on the island of Cres, while this was still part of Yugoslavia - this was shot in the summer of 1985 with my LX and presumably Fujichrome 100 film:

Famous Photo Location

Ok, here's a teaser for you (although I don't think its too difficult). Below is a photo shot in the same location as a very famous photo from some time ago. What was the name of the photographer and where is the exact location. To narrow it down a bit, its in Europe.

ME super, M50 1.7, HP5 in D76.

Thanks a ton for the encouragement folks, means allot to me. I have felt and feel like I am in a rut when it comes to my film shooting. The past three rolls I shot, I binned. I think I am thinking too much instead of just shooting. I feel my digital stuff is better than ever and I am shooting far less, rarely more than a single shot of any given subject.

Then when you see the quality here, it is flat amazing. I do enjoy seeing all the different films, lenses and bodies though.

This thread is my favorite of this entire forum and feel the best work is displayed here.

I recognize that, Vendee!
It's the site of Henri Cartier-Bresson's Derriere la Gare de St. Lazare (a.k.a. puddle jumper)

Go to the top of the class

The scene is pretty much unchanged today..... apart from the puddle jumper.

This is from a set I did for a class project about 10 years ago. I'm surprised by how well this film scans considering it was the least expensive grocery store branded 400 iso film I could buy at the time - the ISO and frame numbers are the only information printed on the negative. I didn't care about the colour accuracy because almost all of the photos I took at the time were being scanned from prints in black and white for a yearbook. This is as scanned on a V500:

Trying out Javier's 99-cent film - turns out I've used it before and thought of it as "memories 200" film... Thanks Javier, and I will get you samples of Ferrania in the mail today!
