Ah, high school.

(Edit: Was that in Canada? I didn't know they used Terrazzo flooring up there. That looks exactly like a south florida high school)

Daughter took this with a Nikon FE and Tri-X, developed and scanned herself (she's at Parsons intensive photo course) -- she ran into Mark Fisher, who's a NYC pro photographer. Mark helped her change film and gave her some tips. Note the camera Mark's got around his neck Can anyone ID the lens?

Hey I googled Mark Fisher Pentax --- looks like the dude uses Pentax 6x7's including some experimental one, and a K10D etc. Strange blogs however.

I think the flooring would qualify a Terrazzo. Here's another shot with a closer view of it.

Eventually I'll get to the club and sports photos. Some of them don't hold up as well because 200mm wasn't really long enough to cover the action.

Cool. Yeah, that's what it is. Stays cool in the summer down here, and quite pretty if done right. Of course in the '70s everybody put holes in it to put down shag carpet, so it's typically ruined at the edges when you do see it down here.

Kings Canyon / Sequoia National Forest

A few film shots from our camping trip, May 20-22, 2011. It snowed in the days just before we got there! One foot of snow in our campground, BURR!!

Pentax K2*, FA*28-70mm, Kodak Gold 200. Av mode, f/5.6-8ish. Costco film process/scanning, resized to post here [which unfortunately seems to kill the sharpness & detail].
[* recently outfitted with split-image focus screen]

Awhile back I posted some photos from a test roll I had shot with a K1000 SE I had recently purchased that sadly was having shutter problems. I have since had the camera CLA'd by Eric and have run another roll of my favorite testing film through it and am glad to report that the camera seems to be performing flawlessly.

K1000 SE, SMC Pentax-M 100/2.8, Fujicolor 200

K1000 SE, SMC Pentax 55/1.8, Fujicolor 200

K1000 SE, SMC Pentax-FA 43/1.9 Ltd, Fujicolor 200

Excellent photos, especially this one. Glad to hear you have the shutter fixed and now you can fully enjoy your K100SE.

Thanks David. The K1000SE really is a joy to use and the viewfinder with the split prism is wonderful. I wish my K2 had the same focus screen.
