Thank You Phil. I'm sure the K version is just as good as the Takumra; if not better.

First foray into film: went through europe for 4 weeks after undergrad, had no money for a dSLR so my friend lent me her P30T. Pics here are taken with a Pentax A 28-80mm F3.5-4.5, likely Superia 200 film.

Here are a couple of shots I liked:

I eventually had to return the camera to my friend. This made me sad.
Recently, however, I was able to get my hands on a K1000, and ever since I've acquired 2 primes (50/1.7, 28/3.5 SMC M) and 1 zoom (80-200/4.5, SMC M)and am super ultra mega 100% excited to try it out

Some of these are really, really good. Do post more when you've got 'em/.

Lots of good work since I've looked in on this thread! I need to peek more often, but I have been so busy lately that I haven't shot any film for over a month. Decided to rectify that yesterday, so here are a few:

My wife:

Some bleeding hearts:

Local bluesman Kevin BF Burt, singing Happy Birthday to a girl in the crowd:

And one more shot of Kevin Burt:

Thanks, Eddie, good to know someone is looking! LOL

I like this look, too. May be grainy for some, but there's something about it. I don't mind the long develop time at all, I just set it up and go do something else. But I will say there was an issue this time. A kind of nasty brown edge on the roll that was on top. And it was definitely not a low volume problem, I'm certain of that. I hope to put up a color photo of the negs later, to see if someone can identify what went wrong.

Thanks, Pavel, that is a gorgeous portrait you just posted!

FYI regarding the developing problem I mentioned to Eddie earlier, there's a picture of the problem HERE.

The GWR steam railway had a steam and ale festival a couple of weekends ago. In keeping with the oldtimer spirit, I brought the Pentax SP500 with a roll of Boot's prepaid slide film. It's ISO 200 and Fuji branded. I like getting a pack of slides in the post!

1. Incoming

2. Back it up a bit!

3. It's basically a kettle

I had a couple of shots left at the end of the day, which worked out well when I saw this on Cleeve Common the next day!
