Took my Son and Grandson to the tide pools this morning. Shot these with my Pentax ME SUPER, SMC-M50F/1.4 and Superia 200

My son found $20.00 in the water

Some candids of them both.

A fishing village in the Philippines.

The scans are ugly, but it is grainless on my 8x10 print.

Neoca is looking good Colton. So's the expired Kodak Gold 100. It's making me optimistic. One of my friends just dropped 30 rolls of expired film on me. It had been in her freezer, so I'm hoping most of it's still good, Some color print film, but there was a lot of Fuji Velvia 50. Looking forward to getting a chance to shoot it <g>.

Couple more from the archives...

ME Super, M50 f1.7, Fuji Reala 100 (last August 4)

Same gear as above, Detail of Horace Wells' monument - the inventor of anaesthesia.

Best to all,
Kevin

Thanks Kevin,
focusing the Neoca is definitely taking practice but I slowly getting the hang of it. The Kodak Gold seems a bit hit or miss, but that could probably be blamed on poor exposure. Nice score on the 30 rolls of film, hopefully it works well for you. Sounds like we'll be seeing some Velvia shots from you in the future.

Nice work with the Reala on those last one.

Walgreens Brand Films

Local Walgreen's is having their 24 Exposures 200 400 and 800 film on sale this week for $1 a roll! I just picked up 5 rolls each of the 200 and 400 to give it a try. The box says "Product of Japan" so I think this is re-branded Fuji. For a buck of Fuji film that seems pretty good deal. Although this could be the cheapest Fuji film they made. Just thought I would pass this along in case anyone local is interested.

Here's two shots from expired Velvia 50 - well-developed but poorly scanned, requiring further tweaking. Still, I like them. With a ZX-7 and an A 16 fisheye:

David, thanks for the pointer to Walgreens. I saw that circular yesterday, too. If you saw my earlier post, you know I had a windfall of some expired film. Between that, CVS' sale on Ultramax last week, and a purchase made from my local photo shop, I have enough film to last me a while <g>. Although at that price...

Nick, thanks for what I hope is a preview of coming attractions - that expired Velvia 50 looks good. I hope I'll have some samples of my own to post in the not too distant future.

Best,
Kevin

The Kiev 4/Jupiter 8 combo is a great outfit. I must get the light leak issue sorted on mine because the Jupiter 8 is a really nice lens. Might even try some colour film in it.
Electrician tape, just cover the whole damn body, with the added cool of looking like HCB (the solution for my fed 5, my 4 is ok)

Kevin, good to know that Walgreens is running the sales nationwide, and yeah you probably don’t need more for now.
